Located at Behram Baug in Jogeshwari West, I have literally watched this place grow from a small shop to now becoming this big. The only sad part is they don't offer any delivery but that's justified because this place is always crowded no matter what time you visit. Open from 6 PM to 1 AM, this place accepts only cash. They have a seperate shop right opposite if you want to dine-in with a seperate section for family.
Coming to the food, their seekh parathas are very famous in the area. Their seekh is quite soft while the parathas are crispy. The combination of both alongside the chutney and onion makes it heavenly. The prices are very reasonable with 1 seekh and 1 paratha costing you a total of just Rs 60 (They recently increased the price from 50 to 60). They also offer takeaway but even if it's crowded, your order will still not take a long time as their service is very quick.
If you're a fan of seekh kababs, then this place is definitely worth a visit. Located in the heart of Jogeshwari west, they don't have any branches. Personally, we had suggest that you dine in at the restaurant to have it all fresh and yummy but not a bad option for...
Read moreI’ve eaten a lot of kebabs in my life. I mean really a lot but never had them with mint leaves. What an experience it was to visit Farid’s. Let’s start with the ‘Seekh’, well the meat was soft, tender, juicy, nicely charred, flavourful and so tempting to look. It had a balance which was equally complimented by the green chutney they served along with it. It never felt spicy to eat but after having em, you’ll sweat. And the ‘pudina’ they serve with it was surprisingly going well with the other flavours. The serve prantha as well which in itself is a treat. Crunchy, just enough salty and again, goes well with kebab. Their service is quick as well. The staff is courteous. The value for money is there for sure and the best part, the place was kept so clean and tidy. This shows the effort they put into making it edible and hygienic. The only thing I felt missing was the lack of space to sit and savour the beauty that they serve. Anyway, I’ll be coming back...
Read moreIt's been more than 10 years since I was introduced to this place by my husband. And in all those 10 years, neither has their menu changed basically no add on's, prices have not sky rocketed and neither has the taste changed, which says a lot about a place if they can maintain the same consistency for 10 years is amazing. The menu is simple - Seekh kebabs served with deep fried parathas and mint chutney with lime slices. That's it, nothing fancy but they have stuck to it bcoz they know they have nailed the taste and they will always have get crowd due to sheer word of mouth. Hardcore non veg lovers have flocked here from near n far, rich or poor, crowded or not. If you eat in 5 star restaurants and are worried about hygiene or service or our calorie conscious. This is not the place 4 u. The most unfortunate thing is they DO NOT DELIVER. If you going on weekends , during world cup matches or in hurry - expect a huge crowd...
