Hotel Satkar pure veg — Restaurant in Mumbai

This is bring to notice to the owner Sachin Shetty that really surprising to had bitter experience today with old brand in vikhroli Satkar Bar and restaurant with new name Saroj which I trusted for so many years and I appreciated Sachin Shetty when he renovated this restaurant. Today I swipped my debit card with bill of 2250 and I got msg from my bank stating it got debited successfully but it was not not showing successfully at edc machine ...I requested Manager not to remove card from terminal as it was showing debited at my end ..let be sometime so that it will show declined or successful but then he removed ...I told waiter pls tell me what to do ..he said he will come back in 10min but then he took almost 20 mint and not even bothered to inform customer that either he has to wait or Swipe it again..when this was highlighted to Manager Prafule ,it was surprised to see that he hide all fault of his waiter negligence to inform customer timely...we requested Manager stating that we are regular customer of your restaurant and do inform us on settlement of transaction or else we will come and Swipe...I am visiting Saroj hotel since last 20 years and regularly purchasing sweets and other items regularly from chembur but today the kind of treatment that we got from Manager Praful and staff on unprofessional service, I decided to give up coming back again at saroj and satkar bar and restaurant....Sorry to say Sachin Shettey ur staff r now more arrogant and not listening to their regular customers who are loyal.

All the best for your such kind of services to deliver in hotel industry but now with this bitter experience I will not recommend vikhroli citizens or any visitors not to visit this restaurant any more.Also to inform you that we paid again with full cash amount and not received balance ...also because of argument we paid extra cash of 1100 at the counter but then Manager praful returned it to his gate keeper to returned it to me but not even bothered whether he returned to the customer or kept it at counter as extra money ...staff kept in his pocket ....Hats off to this unprofessional behavior...this is not long term...

Internal ambience is good. AC does not reach at every corner of the dining hall so there could be warm at some places. Quality of the food is good but the food is bit expensive. I've been dining there since my childhood, means around 50 years but there is a huge difference between the old and new Satkar. The old Satkar was very much tasty, busy and pocket friendly hotel. It's just in front of the Vikhroli railway station. I found the prices a bit exorbitant nowadays. They have inhouse bar and they serve all kinds of liquor and cocktails but their prices are also high. I had been there after a gap of 25 years thinking and remembering the super taste of the old hotel but to my badluck the management is changed, the ambience is changed and also the food quality is changed. But offcourse if one wants to impress someone and wants to show off then they can be there alongwith the guests. Outside elevation or ambience is not so good. The surrounding is also not clean as the vehicle bridge work...

Satkar Hotel, located in Vikhroli West, is a fantastic pure vegetarian restaurant, conveniently situated right across from Vikhroli Railway Station. Our dining experience was quite enjoyable. We started with a Tomato Soup, priced at ₹170, which was tasty. For starters, we tried the Veg Spring Rolls (₹270), which were delicious and definitely worth ordering. However, the Veg Hara Bhara Kebab (₹260) didn’t impress me as much—it was bland and I wouldn't recommend it.

For the main course, I ordered the Kaju Masala Bhaji, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it! We paired it with Butter Rotis, which complemented the dish perfectly. To round off the meal, we had Jeera Rice (₹190) and Dal Tadka (₹250), both of which were exceptional. The Jeera Rice was flavorful, and the Dal Tadka was perfectly spiced.

Overall, I would highly recommend Satkar Hotel to anyone, especially vegetarians, as it offers a great variety of tasty and...
