Maai Restaurant is a hidden gem that offers an authentic Malwani dining experience. During our visit, we tried their Malwani Chicken Special Thali, Surmayi Tawa Fry Thali, and Bombil Fry, and each dish was a delight to the taste buds. The Malwani Chicken Special Thali, priced at just 300 rupees, was an absolute feast. It included a generous serving of perfectly spiced Malwani chicken curry, accompanied by soft and fluffy chapatis, aromatic rice, and a variety of traditional sides that truly enhanced the meal. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, capturing the essence of Malwani cuisine. The Surmayi Tawa Fry Thali, priced at 330 rupees, was another standout. The Surmayi (Kingfish) was marinated to perfection and cooked on a tawa, resulting in a crispy and flavorful exterior with a tender and juicy inside. The thali also came with Bhakris, rice, and a selection of delicious accompaniments that made it a complete, Solkadi and satisfying meal. We also tried the Bombil Fry, priced at 140 rupees, which was an excellent appetizer. The Bombil (Bombay Duck) was fried to a golden crisp, with a light and delicate texture that melted in the mouth. It was a perfect start to our meal and paired wonderfully with the thalis. The ambiance of Maai Restaurant is warm and welcoming, with attentive staff who ensure a pleasant dining experience. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served, making it a great value for money. Overall, Maai Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Malwani cuisine. We can't wait to return and try more of their...

He tried to manipulate my bill. He did not provided printed bill, instead he wrote it down on a piece of paper. Surmai Thali is 330 but he charged me 350, Also he only mentioned rate of the dish only and not the name of dish. When i asked him the difference he cunningly told me "Oh Sorry. I just thought that you ordered some other dish". He again manipulated my bill when i went with my office colleagues. Again after ordering we waited for half hour and again on that day he manipulated my bill. So, Food is tasty but please check the rates with you bill before paying. And yes place is...

I noticed cameras and lights, assuming there was a movie shoot happening, which made me wonder if we'd find a place to eat. Thankfully, a helpful person from the production team called someone from the restaurant.
In the meantime, I asked someone sitting at the bar, and they mentioned that the restaurant appeared closed. However, the manager arrived and assisted us in finding a table for four and even helped us with parking, despite valet service not being available.
We ordered butter garlic calamari, chicken skewers, seabass roast, and fish curry rice. Every dish was delicious, and the rice served with the fish curry was exceptional. If the sides were this good, you can only imagine how tasty the other dishes were. The only slight disappointment was the whole fish, which leaned towards the salty side.
We concluded our meal with ice cream. I highly recommend Maai to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience."
I hope this meets your...
