If you're in Mumbai during Ganesh Chaturthi, missing Lalbaugcha Raja is like going to Agra and not seeing the Taj Mahal. It’s not just a Ganpati pandal—it’s an emotion, a tradition, and for many, a spiritual journey.
The festival begins with full glory on Ganesh Chaturthi and ends on Anant Chaturdashi. The grandeur of Lalbaugcha Raja is unmatched. From the moment you step near the area, you feel the energy, the faith, and the sea of devotees gathered for just one glimpse of Bappa.
There are two lines to seek blessings:
Mukhdarshan Line (Face Darshan): This line is for people who just want to see Bappa’s divine face from a distance. But don’t think it’s quick—it takes around 6 to 8 hours, depending on the day and time. Still, the darshan is worth the wait.
Navasachi Line (Wish Fulfillment/Blessing Line): This is where the true devotion is tested. People wait for 20 to 24 hours straight, often overnight, just to reach the feet of Lalbaugcha Raja and whisper their wishes. It’s physically tiring but emotionally fulfilling.
Every year, 30 to 80 lakh people from across India and even abroad visit. From Bollywood stars to top politicians, everyone bows down in front of Lalbaugcha Raja. The idol itself is majestic, sitting tall with an aura that fills your heart with peace and hope. The decoration, lighting, and atmosphere around the pandal make it a...

Shockingly, she was doing this not just to my mother but to several other devotees as well.
After waiting so many hours just to get a few seconds of darshan, this kind of treatment is deeply disappointing and disheartening. Devotees come with so much faith and patience, and they deserve respect, not humiliation. I truly hope the organizers take this matter seriously and ensure such incidents don’t happen...
