Mamledar Misal!
When it comes to misal you will have no better option than mamledar misal. This place has been one of the oldest Misal Joint in Thane. Howevver, over the years they have opened up franchises across Mumbai. People from all age groups come here just to savor the Misal served here.
It offers 3 kinds of misal pav - regular, tez and super tez which differ in the spiciness of the dish. It also offers dishes like idli, vada sambar, tea, coffee but main food served here is misal. Chhas(buttermilk) and lassi is also served here. Most often people prefer tez one but if you love spicy food and specially misal, you can go with the 'Super tez'. The misal has it's unique taste and topped with Farsan, mashed potatoes, chopped onions and lemon on the sides. The misal has its unique taste and is very flavorful. As far as the price of the dish is concerned it's quite reasonable. The service is pretty fast.
Beware :: Don't ask them for a spicy misal before trying the regular version of the misal. Also, a lassi or Chaas after the misal is just the cherry on top.
So, if you are a Misal lover you must visit this...
Read moreBeing in Mahavir Nagar we saw this outlet of Mamledar Misal and thought of trying out their misal. The outlet is a small one with few tables and an open eating area.
Coming to the order, it was 2 plates of Misal Pav. The misal looked good and it was quite nicely given in 2 bowls. The quantity we felt was also good. We had also ordered 2 glasses of buttermilk and the taste was awesome. You could feel the buttermilk was made really fresh and the being cold it was actually soothing over the spicy misal. But here too again the quantity of the buttermilk was way too less as compared to the cost. Pretty small glasses.
Thus, all in all, even though the taste of the misal was good there were few other things that would have made the experience much better had they had been...
Read moreKindly visit anytime misal & save yourself from experiencing disaster. I Had the worst experience. I never had such Misalpav experience in my life. I cried my heart out after looking at Misal which was Misal only for namesake, no Usal, only farsaan! How do you even call it a misal ? Felt like got 2 eclairs for the price of Dairy milk silk. Regular plate for Rs. 100, and jain for Rs. 110. Not at all worth the money. If you want to eat water with spices & farsaan mixed, go ahead. And if you're lucky you'll find 3-4 pieces of peas in it. I had not expected such disappointment from...
