Milan Punjab Restaurant — Restaurant in Mumbai

Milan Punjab is a mediocre at best looking restaurant. However that was my initial impression. The end result was bit different, I had been here after Milan Punjab was recommended to me by my friend. When I went there in the afternoon it was approximately 2 hours before closing time. So we had to rush with ordering of the quite standard dishes which anyone orders when they just have to blindly order anything in a Non-Veg restaurant. We ordered the 'Chicken Handi' and 'Surmai Masala' immediately. 'Chapati' and 'Neer Dosa' was also a fairly nice combination with the gravy dishes. The taste of the chicken dish and the seafood was nice, but I felt that it was a bit too oily for my liking. Overall the place was awesome in terms of food. Then one of us wanted to have rice. So we ordered 'Half Rice'. And this half rice was the only thing that I felt ruined the whole experience overall. Just to remind that we visited there at the closing time almost, so make you decisions accordingly. However once we told the waiter about the rice being hard, he cancelled the order. I ordered veg thali which was supposed to be Rs. 125-130. But it end up costing of Rs 272/- catch is here when I was about to finish my lunch I started rice but dal portion served me in small bowl which was sufficient for the portion of rice served. So I asked them a bowl of extra dal. He said you have to order additional which end up me additional Rs 120/- which just because of rude behaviour of staff during serve. Excellent value for money Veg & Non Veg Punjabi fare. What we like best here is- this is one of those places where every dish has its own identity, as compared to some joints where they prepare most dishes from common gravy stock, so everything ends up tasting the same!
