I visited Sadanand Coffee House in Worli with high expectations, having heard about their good South Indian food. Unfortunately, my experience was a letdown from the start. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to find that they don't accept digital payments like Google Pay or Paytm, only cash or card. This seemed like a significant drawback in today's digital age. The food quality was another major disappointment. I ordered the Mysore Masala Dosa and Coconut Oothappam, but what I got was far from authentic. The dosa was dry and tasteless, with a meager spread of red chutney that didn't justify its name. The khara(red chutney), a crucial component of a traditional Mysore Dosa, was missing or replaced with something else entirely. The Coconut Oothappam was just average, lacking the freshness and flavor I've come to expect from this dish. To make matters worse, the service was slow, our orders took a long time to arrive, and the Fresh Lime Soda we ordered was just okay. Overall, my experience at Sadanand Coffee House was underwhelming, with too many misses and not enough redeeming qualities. With some improvements in payment options, food authenticity, and service speed, this place could live up to its reputation. Until then, I'd think twice...
Read moreOh how hard it is to make a comment about one's old crush! Once upon a time this place had a life and identity of its own. You came here to get away from the madness at work. To catch a brunch/ lunch with a colleague from work. You went back motivated.
Last evening, went there after our 1st ride on the Aqualine Underground Metro.
We would almost have missed the place. Wad the hour if the day when everything appears dull or was it really something sad happened to my old favorite Sadanand?
Come on! It just needs one fresh paint, and a few thoughtful lights in the right place.
Ordered a cheese dosa that looked more like a reluctant apology. Coffee went cold even before we could drink it.
This place needs a spruce up and some motivation, to get back the glory from the past.
On a positive note, the service was good. It was great to see a smiling waiter, and that gives me a lot of hope.
Many Best Wishes Sadanand, we will be back in 3 months, hope you will have done something to once again make my...
Read moreI visited this restaurant with my husband for a simple cup of coffee, just to relax and have a good time. Being Worlikars, we had never been here before and thought of trying it out today (I regret the decision).
As soon as we ordered two coffees, the waiter (the one with the tika) gave us a look as if the restaurant only expects customers to order expensive items. To add to the discomfort, as soon as our coffees arrived, the same waiter placed the bill on our table without us even asking for it!
This bizarre and unpleasant behavior made me want to leave immediately. What shocked me further was noticing the same waiter treating a “sophisticated-looking” gentleman seated next to us completely differently. On top of that, the coffee itself was out of taste and disappointing. Overall, this place left me with a broken and judgmental experience. Definitely never...
