It was late 1980, I availed the lunch services in Kalpana, which was in adjacent building to my office in Tulsi Vihar. The first order was Kalpana Thali, costing Rs.7/-. The sitting arrangement was in open, in front and on the side of air conditioned (higher charges) dining hall. The items consisted of 5 puris or 2 tanduri rotis, curd, marble size (and shaped) onions, under marinated lemon pickle, roasted papad, tomato soup, sambar, rassam, vegetable curry, dry vegetable beans with grated coconut, boiled and cut potatoes, gulab jamun and rice served separately in oval bowl and dal in round bowl. Read moreGood restaurant, specifically if you drink alcohol or beer. The food was very good, the staff was not as good as the food but the atmosphere was a 5 star. I don't know why but we were eating and I said that we'll order more if we need so but the manager replied arrogantly that order now or the restaurant will close and it was just 10:30 pm. Also the food is a bit over prized like it's 48 rupees for a single normal roti and you know what the roti was very hard when it was served. I told the waiter that it's very hard and then he replied that sir you took very loong to eat it so it got hard. I littrely only stood up to wash my hands for a minute and that was his reply. Believe me I would have caused a disaster there if I was with my friends or I was alone, I had my family there. The mashroom sabzi was also not good. Also the manager does not know how to take pictures. I'll attach them below. Our total bill was 1700 but we had very less food...
