Satkar Kitchen — Restaurant in Mumbai

Went to Satkar Kitchen, Powai on Sunday 24th Jan 2021. Menu showed malvani preparation for non veg items which increased my hunger. But staff looked non Maharshtrian which gave us doubt about food preparation. I ordered fish thali (Pomfret) Rs. 290 and my friend ordered Mutton thali Rs. 260. After 10 minutes waiter came back and informed that Pomfret finished and if I would like to try other fish. We confronted him as we were the first customer during lunch time so he said fish is not available. So switched to Surmai. Preparation for both thalis took much longer time than expected. Mutton thali came with Mutton gravy with 2 pieces., Mutton dry masala. Both pieces were not chewable. Gravy was OK. Fish thali came with big fish slice(deep fried) which was fresh and good to taste. And bhendi masala dry as 2nd option🙄😒. Also we got served Punjabi roti in thali which was luckily fresh. And yes solkadhi was good So overall 2 stars 1 for solkadhi 1 for fish fry

Its a decent place to go with family or friends. Its menu have affordable and resonable rates. Food: 4.0 Food range like North Indian, Chinese, Seafood, Malvani. Taste wise food is good n comparatively lite. We have ate north indian n Chinese food and it was good. Staff: 3.0 Some staff is really humble and hospitable with a welcoming smile on their face and some staff just dont pay full attention on their work. Interiors: 3.0 Interiors are okay types well furnished. And there is a tv inside if u are alone its great.but if u are with family and friends then it could distract few. Very bad service and also very rude behaviour against the customer. However, when we ordered butter chicken he gave us chicken makhani. While we asked him why it is so sweet he told that this is butter chicken only. But when he gave bill butter makhani was mentioned in bill. When we raise voice and ask to owner and manager they told that there is no difference between butter chicken and butter makhani both are same dish.
