This was my second visit to a tea café—usually, I explore coffee spots, so I was curious to see how this experience would go.One major issue is the lack of dedicated parking. You have to rely on roadside parking, which is governed by Maharashtra traffic’s odd-even rule. Failing to follow that can lead to penalties, so make sure to park cautiously. The interior décor is quite pleasant and gives off a peaceful vibe. It’s a nice spot if you’re looking to sit down and relax over tea. The service, unfortunately, was below expectations. The staff lacked professionalism and communication was poor, which definitely impacted the overall experience. Food & Beverage Ordered: • Samosa: Disappointing. It was soggy and didn’t taste fresh. The outer layer lacked crispiness, and the stuffing inside wasn’t hot or flavorful. I’d rate it 1/5. • Elaichi Tea: This was the highlight. Aromatic, well-brewed, and gave a lovely refreshing kick. Definitely a must-try for tea lovers. • Spinach & Corn Sandwich: Quite good. It felt healthy and the portion was sufficient. Nothing fancy, but worth it for a light snack. While the service and samosa were a letdown, the ambience and Elaichi tea made up for it. If you’re a tea enthusiast looking for a quiet place to unwind, Wagh Bakri Tea Lounge is worth a visit—but manage your expectations on service and food quality

The Worst experience at Wagh Bakri. The Masala Tea was watery - not boiled enough and especially the Dhoklas were Dry and hard. Not at all a good experience. This is the very 1st time I have experienced such disgust for a place ...even after leaving 3 out of 5 pieces of the Dhokla and telling him to return it they denied with a straight face as if it is totally my mistake that I have come to Wagh Bakri and ordered Especially Dry Dhoklas... I had ordered Paneer Croissant which was decent but the stuffing was really less and cannot practically satisfy your appetite. Next the Chocolate Muffin was mediocre..i just dnt understand how can someone go wrong in Chocolate..? But Still I would prefer Wagh Bakri over Tea Villa Vile Parle if you wish to have some tea and snacks nothing fancy. Cheers.

Aaron's Final Rating is 3.5 Visited this place after a very long time. It is situated very close to Parleshwar Mandir and less than 10 minutes walk from Ville Parle station East. This place does not have outside seating. It's pure vegetarian, so all you non-vegetarians, do try it once. Every chai you order is accompanied by a Khakhra is I found very sweet gesture wise. Must Trys :- - Ginger Chai Must Avoid :- As of now nothing. Full Ratings:- Location : 3.5 Ambience : 3.5 Staff : 3.5 Food Quality : 3.5 Food Quantity : 3.5 Price: ₹₹₹ (Moderate) All in all, a good place. Check out the pictures and videos. In 1892, Narandas Desai, who owned a 500-acre tea garden in South Africa, had a completely different life. He faced many hardships while facing discrimination from whites. The lessons he learned from his experience there made him decide to return to India. Mahatma Gandhi’s support and recommendation letter in 1915 boosted his confidence. In 1919, he established the ‘Gujarat Tea Depot’ in Ahmedabad.

The brand ‘Wagh Bakri’ was born in 1934. The logo showed a tiger and a goat drinking tea from the same cup. The message behind it was clear – to bring everyone together by breaking the walls of caste, religion or society. This idea struck a chord with people.

Initially, Wagh Bakri was selling only loose tea. After the 1980s, they started packaging and made the product a place in the modern market. Later, between 2003 and 2009, it expanded beyond Gujarat to other states. This brand gradually brought its taste to every household.

Today, Wagh Bakri is the third largest tea company in India, after Tata and Hindustan Unilever. Tea is exported not only to India but also to more than 40 countries around the world. Various types like green tea, premix, iced tea are available to consumers.

The strength of Wagh Bakri is not just in tea, but in its message. Even through the times of casteism, discrimination and partition, it has brought about the idea of unity. This brand has proven its uniqueness in the marketing world, not only that but has also found a place as an example in Philip Kotler's 'Marketing Management'.

This journey of trying to create social change through a cup of tea is truly inspiring. Wagh Bakri has shown that business is not just about making profit, but also about creating positive changes in society. This 133-year-old legacy is still going strong and has become an integral part of the mornings of...
