Bambusa Express — Restaurant in Nagaland

Bambusa Express is a solid place to eat out, especially for casual meals with friends or family. I’ve visited their outlets both in Kohima and Dimapur, and here’s what stood out:

👍 What’s good

The momos, especially the spicy chilli ones, are a highlight — really tasty and satisfying.

Price is quite reasonable for the portion size and variety. You get decent value.

The service is generally friendly and attentive. Staff are polite, which enhances the experience.

Decent ambiance in many branches. Comfortable for hangouts. One branch had a 2nd-floor area which was appreciated (though I read it might be closed now).

👎 What could improve

Inconsistency with food quality — sometimes dishes like fried rice aren’t warm enough, or feel less fresh.

Ambience could use more attention: cleanliness of tables, minor things like ensuring washrooms have tissue rolls.

Wait times or delivery can be slow at times. Also some orders are mixed up or missing items.

Portion / fillings variability: e.g. momos sometimes under-filled, or vegetable / meat content in noodle/soup dishes being less than expected.

Bambusa Express is a recommended choice if you want a nice, casual meal without spending a lot. Great for momos, for hangouts, and places to relax. Just don’t expect gourmet-level polish all the time — but for what it offers,...

It is a good place for family recreation and my kids loves bambusa. But why i'm giving only 4 stars is because 1) the authority needs to mainthain children park which needs to be replace with the new items,eg: old Swing, sewsaw and most of the other items needs to be remade and replaced. 2) my husband and i took our kids to the bamboo resort but i felt that it is no more safe as we saw chokras totally drunk, they were shouting fighting over some petty issues. The authority must ensure that drinking must not be allowed inside the resort. Overall the restaurent is good with efficient workers waiting for you...

The food served are good but had an unpleasant experience over their service today. Had ordered steamed momos and later thought of going for combo so tried to change that but couldn't.

I guess they have lots to say in their defense and its understandable. However, as a frequent customer, change of steamed momos over others shouldn't be a big deal as they have been already prepared in advance and canceling wouldn't change anything except rebilling.

Overall, that aspect of their service, as i mentioned that they could have a lot in their defence, is not customer friendly! Just for this, 1 star...
