Ooopar — Restaurant in Nagaland

We visited Kohima for a couple of quiet days and were looking for a decent place that served alcohol. Seeing there aren't many such places in Kohima, Ooopar seemed to be the best rated option we could find. We were unsure as there weren't many pictures on Google, of the atmosphere. We didn't expect a lot but were pleasantly surprised at the great food and amazing cocktails they served. And we instantly knew why the rating is so high! We had two plates of pork crisps (as they were so good) and a New York style pizza, which was amazing as well. But the show stealers were the cocktails. We tried two of their in-house specials and then two more, a LIIT and mojito and all 4 cocktails blew our minds. We left the place happy and definitely visiting again on our next trip to...

Excellent little discovery in Kohima. High end serving great sophisticated cocktails and a small well curated menu. We tried the beef shank which was beautifully cooked with the meat falling off the bone. Delicious rich sauce and the potatoes and vegetable were perfectly cooked. The tuna salad was great and the naga dry crispy pork was delicious... Stylish surroundings and friendly staff all at very reasonable prices. The Old Fashioned and Brambles certainly did the trick and the Cosmopolitan was well balanced not overly sweet as too often here in India. If you are in Kohima and want to have decent quality alcoholic drinks and great food...

1. Food was Good. Preparation time could be reduced. Would recommend Peri Peri Fries, Pork crisps 10/10.

2. Quantity and quality of the Fried rice was definitely a Let down 👎🏻 Will be good if more variety of rice items were given at an affordable price Because honestly ₹350+ for an ordinary Half bowl of fried rice feels like a total rip off.

3. A printed menu at every desk would definitely be much more convenient than letting the customers scan the QR Code. Especially for older folks.
