Deleting the previous review as I submitted it quickly on the request of their employee (please note, the review was not forced on me).
Actual review: Reducing 1 star because of the food taste, serving size. Also because of removing some good food options and replacing them with some weird menu options.
Quantity and price: Clearly reduced from what was given earlier. Prices are increased. To give an idea, they used to serve papad with pav bhaji earlier, now they don't. A single pav (yes, a single piece of extra pav and not jodi) for pav bhaji costs around ₹30.
Taste: I have been frequently visiting this place (I mean, Sitabuldi and Itwari branches). Can clearly tell that the taste of many items is lowered. The Dosas don't taste like what they used to taste 5-8 years ago. Possibly they are using frozen food. Only few items like Pav bhaji seem to retain the same taste as earlier. Breakfast is still ok, but for lunch better try some other place as you won't get the dhaba taste.
Quality: This is where they top the game and possibly setting some weird pricing to the food items (restaurant items, not sweets). Basically, high prices in the name of quality.
Restaurant menu: not sure who suggested the idea of biscoff rasmalai, cheese pav bhaji etc. Although the menu still seems good, the variety of food needs to be improved (more variations in Chinese, north indian) and that too some sensible options.
Sweets: Best part of Haldirams is their sweet section. But recently observed that taste of Rasgulla and rasmalai is somewhat different. Maybe that one particular batch was not good. Please re-introduce choco-chip pastry, not sure why this particular pastry is available in FC Road Pune branch but not available in any of the Nagpur branches :(
In fact, their new introduction of Choco-crisp pastry and Duo-choco chip pastry DON'T HAVE A SINGLE CHOCO CHIP in them, then why to name such way and mislead people for ₹106 ?
Sorry for the very long review, but I gave my review which you...
Read moreHaldiram’s is a household name in India, and its stores in Nagpur uphold the brand’s legacy of quality, taste, and authenticity. As the birthplace of Haldiram’s, Nagpur is home to multiple outlets that offer a wide variety of sweets, snacks, and meals, making it a favorite spot for food lovers.
One of the most popular locations is the Haldiram’s store in Sitabuldi. The moment you step in, you are greeted by a clean and well-organized space with a vibrant ambiance. The seating area is comfortable, making it an ideal place for families, friends, and even solo diners looking to enjoy a delicious meal. The service is generally efficient, though it can slow down during peak hours due to the high demand.
The food quality is outstanding. Whether it’s their famous Raj Kachori, Chole Bhature, or Pav Bhaji, each dish bursts with authentic flavors. The sweets section is equally impressive, with classics like Rasgulla, Gulab Jamun, and Kaju Katli being must-tries. Their packaged snacks, such as Bhujia and Namkeen, are perfect for taking home or gifting.
Pricing is reasonable, considering the quality and portion sizes. However, parking can be a challenge at some outlets, especially in busy areas. Additionally, the popularity of Haldiram’s means it can get crowded, leading to longer wait times.
Overall, Haldiram’s in Nagpur delivers a fantastic dining experience with its delicious food, welcoming ambiance, and commitment to quality. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, it’s a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in traditional...
Read moreI recently purchased a 1 kg pineapple cake from Haldiram’s, Nagpur Medical Square, for a birthday celebration. At first, the cake looked fresh and appealing, but when I brought it home and cut it, I was shocked to find that it was extremely hard and clearly not fresh at all. It seemed old and stale, not at all like a freshly made cake.
When I went back to the store to return it, I expected at least a polite response and some solution. Unfortunately, the manager’s behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of listening to my concern, they dismissed it completely, refused to accept the cake back, and rudely insisted that “the cake is fine.” Not only did they refuse to exchange the product, but they also showed zero respect towards a loyal customer.
I have been a long-time customer of Haldiram’s, but this experience was deeply disappointing. Taking full payment and then providing such poor-quality products with no accountability or customer service is unacceptable. This was not just about the cake, but also about the attitude and unhelpful behavior of the staff.
If this is the way Haldiram’s treats their customers, I will seriously reconsider ever buying from them again. Very unprofessional, very disappointing, and absolutely not expected from such...
