Very arrogant behaviour by #Gokul vrindavan , dharmapeth
They want us to pay money first - fine , agreed !
We have dosa , idli and uttapam order and sat on first floor
Waiter checked the bill and told us to wait 15 min for uttapam which my dad ordered
After finishing dosa and idlis , my dad kept waiting for his order
After 20 mins when we asked waiter again , he asked us to wait 5 mins more
After few minutes, waiter told us uttapam is not in ur bill but on contuner we gave the order correctly
My dad was upset as he was waiting for his dish for 25 mins
Then we thought let's not wait more and order dahi wada which can be given in 2 mins
Then waiter asked us to go on ground floor and order again and that's again a big problem at Gokul
When my dad told all this to owner , he baffled at us and said - kitni baar bola hai bill check Karo , tum log check nahi karta hai
I told that , it's ur fault that u didn't take proper order Secondly ur waiter also kept us waiting For so long He should have told us in advance
But owner instead of apologising kept on fighting with my dad
Zero manners on how to talk to senior citizen and most importantly to a regular customer
Felt very helpless in restaurant
Gokul has lost its taste and old charm
Seems they don't care for customer
Karma is watching! That's what my dad said in the...
Read moreVisiting since last 13 years. Hygiene OK, new waiters and young cleaners need to be polite and devoted to the work. Taste of sambhar Bada and gulab jam maintained, but idli and dosa detiorated. Dosa and batter tastes sour in evening. Coffee and tea are excessively sweat. Dahi of dahi Bada is too much khatta. No toilet at ground level for senior citizens Upma and Serra are excessively rich with ghee. Some north Indian items like pav bhaji, chole bhature etc.and Bengali sweats may also be iintroduced. A toilet/wash room arrangement is necessary for old persons. Lift/elevator is required to be arranged for easy asses to 1st and 2nd floors. So the restaurant may also become useful and popular amongst senior citizen.
NEEDS DISCIPLENE IN MANAGERS, WAITERS AND CLEANERS. .

6.5.2017 Saturday Morning manager is rude and unfriendly to customers. Noon manager is always joking childishly with customers, waiters and cleaners. He is very promt in closing the business for half an hour in noon, why so????? Evening manager is very responsible...
Read moreThis used to be "the" place to have great South Indian food in Nagpur. We used to visit every Sunday morning ritually. But that was 10 years ago.
Just visited again a couple of days ago and the place doesn't feel the same. The management was bickering constantly with the staff in the kitchen and the waiters were just standing listlessly. Only one of the senior waiters who probably still remembers the old days was still making sure that the customers at least got their orders taken and served quickly. Kudos to that guy!
Coming to food, I ordered a mix uttapam and it was horrible. It used to be one of my favourites but now, it was thick, not well cooked and the onion pieces were chopped in a manner which clearly said that the person was not at all interested in doing his job. The only saving grace was that the sambar and the chutneys were still tasty and the waiter ensured that the tradition of topping up the sambar and chutney quickly, without the customer asking for it, was upheld.
Overall, it was sad to see one of the best places to have South Indian food in Nagpur is in such a disarray. I hope the management takes notice and tightens up the screws. Hoping to revisit again and hoping that the problems are...
