Malvan Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Nashik

Lovely food. It's a small little place nestled in the chaos that is College road. I first chanced upon this place on Zomato while I was looking for a place to take my parents for a quick anniversary dinner. Since my parents requested they did not want anything fancy this was perfect. They have good food with no frills. But they take the no frills concept a little too far with no AC on the mezzanine floor. The wall mounted fans are no good in the Nashik heat in April-May. We had ordered Surmai Masala, Bangda Masala, Prawns Sukka, Chicken 65, Chapatis and Rice. Everything tasted amazing. The gravy that came with both the curries was same and was extremely flavorful. Surely coming back to this place. I hope the next time I visit they have AC...

Had lunch there and here is my review.

1. The quantity of Thali and its price is quite good but the taste was horrible.
2. The solkadhi was not good, the coconut used had already gone bad so didn't have it at all.
3. Had ordered Surmai Thali and Prawns Thali, both had fish fry items, the batter had absolutely no salt .. the surmai fry was soggy and didn't taste good at all.
4. The egg curry ordered was ok so just ate the rice with that curry
5. Prawns chilly was ok

All in all a bad experience....

Biryani is very generic in taste. Onions in biryani are burned not fried. Prawns Koliwada was only the dish i loved. All types of biryanis have same masala and taste. The staff is good but serve food very late. Wash basin is just outside of the restaurant. Restaurant environment is peaceful and beautiful. They accept all types of payments like cash, credit cards, debit cards, UPI and paytm. Valet parking is not available. Good for friends and family. It's a...
