Tried Ambur Biryani here in Navi Mumbai and honestly, I was disappointed. The rice looked good at first, but the taste just wasn’t there. It was bland, with barely any aroma or spice, and the chicken pieces were dry and overcooked. For something called “Ambur Biryani,” I expected that signature South Indian flavor, but it felt like plain rice with a bit of masala mixed in.

The portion size was okay, but the price didn’t feel justified for the quality. The raita was watery, and the salan tasted like it came straight out of a packet. Service was slow, even though there weren’t many customers, and they didn’t bother checking if we needed anything after serving the food.

Absolutely amazing experience at Ambur Biryani Restaurant, Nerul! I had the mutton biryani along with chicken 65, and the taste instantly reminded me of home — just like having biryani in Tamil Nadu. The flavors were authentic, the mutton was tender, and the spices were spot on 🔥. Chicken 65 was crispy, juicy, and perfectly spiced too.
