Kokan Swad - Seawoods — Restaurant in Navi Mumbai

From the most recommended restaurant, this has become the most avoidable place now. Food Taste & Preparation has become very substandard Staff doesn't understand the dishes we want to eat and is clueless, Malvani food restaurant waiter doesn't know what is Sukat. Modaks, the most desirable sweet is not available, when asked the staff went to the counter to check why it's not available and came back with a reply, "We keep Modak's only on Tuesdays and Sankashti" 😖😖.. Who in this world will go to eat Seafood to a Malvani restaurant on Tuesdays & on Sankashti?? What illogical reasoning is that? Lastly, the cost is high, it may still be justified if your food, staff & service is good.... Unfortunately all of it has dropped down drastically. We went there to celebrate a special occasion for a family member and regret it big time. This was one of our favourite joints once upon a time, not anymore. Won't visit again, won't recommend either. Plenty of better options available in Navi Mumbai. We recently visited this place for dinner and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance is calm and peaceful, and one thing we really appreciated is that the restaurant doesn’t have the usual fishy smell you often find at seafood places. The staff was polite, attentive, and made us feel welcomed.

We started with Chicken Malvani Soup, which we tried for the first time. It was flavorful with fresh chicken pieces, and the taste was spot-on. The Surmai Fry was another highlight — perfectly rava-coated, crispy, and very fresh. We also ordered Ghavane; it was good, though it could be slightly improved, but still enjoyable.

The Chicken Pakode turned out to be a must-try item — crispy, tasty, and very satisfying. For the main course, we had Fried Rice which came in a generous portion and was served with an omelette. The omelette is priced on the higher side, but the taste and quality justify it.

Overall, this place is a great option for seafood lovers as well as those trying other dishes. Fresh food, good flavors, peaceful atmosphere, and polite service — definitely...

I have been a regular customer at Konkan Swaad, but today's experience was different. A family of 7-8 people was standing inside the dining area. As I was about to enter I did enquire about occupancy for 1 person, the person outside told me yes. The moment, I entered and sat comfortably on one table occupancy. Suddenly the man belonging to that family requested me to shift as he was with family. As I was alone, I moved for another place. But unfortunately the management told me to stand outside for 15-20 minutes.This kind of treatment by the management was bad for a customer. Either the family could have waited untill I completed my dinner or the management should have made arrangements for me. It just shows what kind of mismanagement this restraunt holds.

Absolutely disappointed with this place. Though the food is good shall never visit this place
