“Home is where heart is and heart is where Good Food is”

We all have grown up eaten the food our mothers and importantly grandmothers have cooked for us. The secret behind the taste isn’t the spices but their love for the people they want to feed.

After reading many reviews and all of them emphasizing upon the USP, “Home cooked food”, made me hasten my visit here. Boy, I am glad I followed my instinct.

Standing outside this place, I felt as if I am standing outside one of a restaurant outside Delhi station on the Paharganj side. The same minimalist attention to décor and frills. All basic amenities are available but nothing over the top. The place is clean and has furniture made from steel.

I visited here on two occasions because the first time, my colleagues ditched me by saying that they were not hungry and I could not risk ordering a lot of items at one go.

BAINGAN BHARTA: I am a die-hard Baingan fan and can eat any preparation at any hour. They took their own sweet time to prepare this dish and serve it but it was worth the wait. To describe it in one word, FABULOUS! The Brinjal was roasted well; the flesh within was very soft. It was cooked well with fried onions & green peas. I liked one thing which was the under use of garlic; most restaurants go overboard on this and spoil the whole dish. RECOMMENDED [Maybe because of my personal preference]

SEV TOMATO: I have not tasted a better tasting Sev Tomato than this one. Nasik-Jalgaon belt is where this dish is more famous but they make it extra spicy as per the local preference but it spoils the overall taste of the dish. This preparation had a dominating flavour of Tomato and the crunch of the crispy sev. The vegetable has onions and green coriander but they play only a supporting role.

ONION PARATHA: Well baked, nicely spiced and stuffed with generous filling. Served with mint chutney, which was just like the one made at home.

PHULKE : Served piping hot, right out of the tawa. Tastes just like homemade ones.

LASSI: Creamy and thick, the Lassi was yummy.

CHAAS : Topped with a masala made from roasted jeera, the creamy Chaas was a perfect coolant.

GULAB JAMUN: Gulab Jamun was nicely soaked in sugar syrup and soft on the inside.

Simplicity is a complex trait to practice and imbibe. It involves defocusing on the peripheral things and focusing only on the subject matter in hand. In times when complex things are a way of life; be it people, relations, job, problems & even food, somewhere I feel we have lost touch with the simple things / joys of life.

Dadi ka Khazana is one such simple place which reconnects you with the simple joys of life through food. I am coming back for more since there are many items yet to be sampled from their menu.

Dadi Ka Khazana has earned a reputation for its flavorful and authentic vegetarian cuisine. Their menu features a wide array of delectable dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients and traditional spices. The restaurant's commitment to quality and taste is evident in every bite. One of the most popular dishes at Dadi Ka Khazana is their Koki, a deep-fried fritter made with gram flour and spices. It's a perfect starter or snack, and it's often served with a side of chutney. Other popular dishes include the Rajma Masala, a hearty lentil dish, and the Paneer Tikka, a flavorful dish made with grilled cottage cheese. The restaurant's service is also top-notch. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they go out of their way to ensure that guests have a pleasant dining experience. Overall, Dadi Ka Khazana is a great option for anyone looking for delicious and authentic vegetarian food. Whether you're in the mood for a casual meal or a special occasion, you're sure to be satisfied with the food and service at...

Ambience is good. Staff and cashier uncle is helpful. 👍 Tried aloo palak paratha which was ok.not so tasty. Paratha they gave with green chutney which was not so yummy.for dahi you have to pay extra. Punjabians paratha is eaten with dahi not with green chutney. Bhendi ki sabji was ok. Gulabjamun was ok, not so fresh. Expected there must be tasty food in dadi ka khazana. But failed. People who want something different, apart from ghar ka khana taste don't go here. But people who want ghar ka khana in less price can go here. Prices are reasonable for some items. My bill was just 120 rs.for paratha, bhendi ki sabji (quantity is good)and 2 pc gulabjam.

One thing i like that they have books to read on...

Does not meet the expectations we keep prior to visiting this place, there's nothing good about it as such which I can specially mention. We ordered two Full Thalis which took 20 mins to come and was served all cold, not even the chapatis were hot or freshly cooked. Pretty disappointed there. Next we ordered dal baati churma but it took way more time and was served cold too. Service is not so good as only one person handles everything and we have to keep calling him everytime for everything. After all of this, the taste is also not good, so there's no reason to visit this place. Avoid it.
