My name is Mr. Rehan Khan. I am a food enthusiast. I had to give one star coz zero star option is not available. I am a foodie and so are my friends, so we know which cuisine is what and what dish is what. I have eaten authentic middle eastern food in UAE and at an amazing restaurant in Mumbai called Savoury. Hence, I can't be fooled or taken for granted in terms of middle eastern food.
The experience at Horizon in Nerul is the worst experience ever by far. We had to wait for an hour coz we didn't book the table in advance. Anyway, all would have been well if the food would have been good and authentic. We gave the order when we arrived but after waiting for the table for an hour and even after waiting for half an hour at the table, we had to reminded the attendee several times for our order and an extra glass of water.
Our order came and came with a distinct stench of deceased chicken in Al-Faham. The starter stunk so bad that it ruined my mood and killed my appetite. Then came Mixed Kebabs with mini tandoori roti (we had ordered khaboos).
After a while came chicken Mandi spread cleverly in a thaal which seemed sufficient for two people but we were 4 people (the attendee had suggested us that it would be sufficient for 4 people but it wasn't). However, instead of Chicken Mandi it was Chicken Khabsa. Service was terrible and delayed. A complimentary refreshment drink called Fruit Champagne was served in a same size of glasses as the water was served. The Fruit Champagne was the only OK thing we have had which was of Rs. 250 per glass (not at all worth). Yes, we had to pay for the "complimentary" refreshment drink coz we didn't order the "Combo" with which the drink was complimentary.
All in all, the experience at Horizon Restaurant in Nerul is the worst we had till date in any restaurant.
I urge all of you who are reading this review not to go to Horizon Restaurant in Nerul. If anyone really wanna eat authentic Middle Eastern food then do try Savoury at Fort Mumbai. You will love the...
Read moreToday I just ordered 1 Hummus 1 Garlic sauce extra and Khubus for take away and this was my first ever order in this restaurant. Following are my observations on my first ever order.
I asked the service Manager how much humus they provide at the given rate he said 300 ml container full for Rs. 200. The quantity I guess was very less and not even 300 ml, the container was not even 250 ml. Not at all recommend as compared to the Hummus quantity and quality of Arabian Chillies restaurant.
There is a Glass partition in the Restaurant seating area and the kitchen. I could see one cook taking out a huge bowl of Hummus for packing my order and asked his helper to give an empty container. What his helper did was unbelievable. He took one used container and threw out some stuff from it in the dustbin and wiped it with tissue paper. His cook was saying to give fresh new containers but this helper guy insisted on using this and said he had cleaned it. Still the cook who was packing the Hummus tried to scrape something from the container but it seems it was not getting removed. So he again asked for a new container from the helper and the helper finally gave a new container. I was quietly watching all this drama from the glass partition and they were unaware that it was my order. If at all it would have happened that they packed the humus in that old used container, trust me I would have made the hell out of the scene then and there itself. Just because they had no option for whatever reason and had packed my order in a fresh container I preferred to ignore.
Overall opinion is this was my first and would be the last order from this restaurant. NOT...
Read moreI recently visited Horizon Restaurant with a friend and unfortunately had an extremely disappointing experience with the staff, particularly the two individuals (probably owners) at the counter. Despite being told that a table would be available in 10 minutes, we ended up waiting for 30 minutes before inquiring about our reservation, only to find out that our table had been given to someone else.
The attitude of the staff, especially the two individuals at the counter, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Not only did they fail to fulfill their promise, but they also showed a complete lack of empathy or concern for our situation.
I was shocked and dismayed by the false promises and the overall treatment we received. Such behavior is unacceptable in any establishment, especially one in the hospitality industry.
I Would never recommend this place to anyone because of their behaviour and attitude which hasn't changed over the years at all, Arabian Dastar right next to it is still a good option with good...
