We had ordered Cuttacki Veg.Biryani, Vegetable Rolls, Chenna Podo Pitha and Steamed Sandesh. Excellent preparations, reasonably priced, and fine examples of traditional cuisine from my home state of Odisha . There are vegetarian preparations, typical of Odisha ....very nostalgic ! For the auspicious occasion of Ratha Yatra, the menu includes the offerings made to Lord Jagannath,Lord Balabhadra and Debi Shubhadra at Shri Jagannath Dham ,Puri . One can order the sweets as well as other preparations,a few days in advance, before the 27th of this month. For me,it was a trip down memory lane ....I was searching for Chenna Podo Pitha on Google, looking for a space close to my residence, from whom I could source it from and offer the"Pitha" to the Lord and His Siblings,at my home . Perhaps,it is His wish that my diligence was rewarded and I came across this wonderful site.... Rasabali Gourmet. Thank you,Mr.Biswal for the cherished experience of relishing the food that my grandmothers ( both Paternal and Maternal )and my mother cooked ! Keep up the splendid work ! Just posted pictures of the tasty sweets (Khoya Pedha, Chenna Podo Pitha -Jaggery version and the Khira Podo Pitha ) ,the packed and unpacked images ,side by side. The sweets evoke a sense of nostalgia and the exquisite packing holds promises of the delectable goodies inside. Along with these sweets,we ordered Dum Alu ( this is quite different in taste from the Alur Dum ,made in West Bengal and Dum Alu Kashmiri ),a typical meal in an Odia home ( Rice / Bhata ,Dalma - lentil and vegetable preparation, rooti/ chapati and saaga/ leafy greens cooked with "Badi "),the helpings were adequate and the food , simple and tasty ! This was the second time that we ordered from Rasabali Gourmet (29 th June,2025) Posting pictures of order dated 20th July.......besides the Cuttacki biryani and the Chenna Podo Pitha (Classic version),opted for Vegetable Rolls ( filling ) ,Magaja Laddoo and Chuda Ghasa ,both traditional offerings to the Lord Jagannath and His Siblings ,at Shri Jagannath Dham, Puri ( Odisha). Excellent preparation at Rasabali,as expected ! Ordered again on the 26th of August, added a popular snack (Dahibara Aludum ) from Cuttack, served together with a chickpea preparation, garnished with finely chopped onions, sev and a spice powder with a distinctive taste of its own.All the items were packed separately and we assembled them ,at home .This preparation was in addition to the Cuttacki biryani, Chenna Podo Pitha (Classic) and the delightful Khoya Pedha, ordered earlier. Added pictures of the Dahibara -Aludum-Chickpea preparation, the garnish (chopped onions and Sev ,spice powder mix .......before assembling !

People nowadays are so intrigued in over same pasta& pizzas of Italy which are not authentic in 90% of restaurant Burgers and punjabi food they completely neglect that we have 28 states and 8 union territory and don’t need such bread culture Instead can appreciate local Indian food from state and occasionally indulge in some other cuisine.people must have not had cuisines of even Rajasthan but pan Asian is on their plate. One such cuisine is of Orissa Got to know this restaurant on swiggy luckily out of so many punjabi etc resto Thought will try varied things Ordered dalma since dal of state differs with spices and flavourings With some potato and got one drumstick boiled could have light mustard and cumin flavour. Then went for ghanta which is mix veg quite different than Tarkari of Kolkatta however same spices with different veggies. Went for mangsha kasha which I got premium cuts of meat cooked to perfection soft succulent mostly they must be using kasha.. Basic spices not fancy but an amazing flavour no resemblance of kosha mangosha a different slow cooked meat. I would recommend you to try such food and hunt for it If you are a foodie. Everything was cooked with less oil which was best part Their chakuki that is appam was too thick. Will plan to post such state recipes for our Indian food to aware people. TAKE AWAY will not disappoint vegetarian as well And has varied options of Odiya cuisine which you must indulge

Got a ad on instagram and bring an odia it piqued my interest. Ordered for some classic odia dishes on Friday late evening. A very nice gentleman from Rasabali Gormet called after order is placed and frim then on coordinated on everything, customizing delivery, giving discount as first time customer, convincing me to try n order their Mutton jhola..Bishwa Bihari ji is very helpful n great at his service n customer care. Coming to food ordered the below: Dahi bara aloo dum 3 single pc Dahi bara set 6pc Arisa pitha Chenna poda(jaggery) Rasabali 5pc Mutton jhola Genuinely satisfied with food from Rasabali. Great packaging and exact time delivery when requested; dahi bara-aloo dum combo was authentic odisha flavours, they even sent extra guguni also; chenna poda was nice but normal sugar one was delivered, i had ordered jaggery one; rasabali tasted lovely, balanced sweetness and soft. Mutton had big pieces as well as potatoes..quantity felt less (too much big aloos) but flavour wise decent. Arisa pitha was of tel wala..but its fully authentic odia style. But i applaud the team's attempt at popularizing odia food in Navi Mumbai and getting authentic Cuttack n Puri flavours in some of the local dishes.

I'm giving them a 4-star rating—not just for the effort, but to cheer them on to keep raising the bar.

I came across them on Google and placed my order directly through their website. I liked that I could choose a delivery day and time slot. I even tested their responsiveness by calling on the number provided and sending a DM on Instagram and I was quite happy with how quickly they replied.

One small surprise though: since they’re based in Mumbai, I didn’t expect the person answering the phone to answer the call in Odia(ଆଜ୍ଞା). It almost felt like they weren’t expecting non-Odias to be calling or placing orders.

This was my first time ordering food from Odisha (my home state) here in Mumbai, and I was genuinely excited. Here’s what I tried and how it fared:

Dahi Bara Aloo Dum – Kataki Really well done! Each component was packed separately, aloo dum, ghuguni, dahi bara, buttermilk, sev, onions, coriander and roasted jeera powder. Not a drop out of place. Great packaging, great taste.

Dalma (½ kg) Simple, homely and very good. Just how it should be.

Kanika I was especially looking forward to this, but unfortunately, it missed the mark. The dish turned out bitter, possibly due to spice proportions and it lacked the signature sweetness Kanika is known for. A little sweetness could really balance things out.

Rasabali Beautifully made. Just one suggestion—they could be a bit more generous with the rabdi. The chhena hadn’t fully soaked through, so some parts were still firm.

Chhena Poda Absolutely excellent—both in taste and appearance. A standout!

I wish I had taken pictures, but I was so eager to try everything that by the time I got everything unpacked, I just wanted to heat and dig in.

UPDATE: I threw a Ghuguni chat party this Rakshabandhan(2025) The Rasabali team sent Ghuguni - 6kg Tomato Khatta - 1kg Besan Sev - Odia Seu - 1/2 kg Jeera Gunda - for the chat

Everything was delivered with prompt follow up and follow through with zero spillage. The Ghuguni tasted even better than the last time I had ordered it, just a week before. The Khatta was delicious and the Sev was long lastingly crisp. I will definitely buy...

I recently visited Rasabali, an Odia restaurant, and was thoroughly impressed by the authentic and delectable offerings. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and welcoming, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Odisha.

I started my meal with Dahibara Aloodum, a signature Odia street food dish. The soft, tangy dahibara (lentil dumplings) soaked in spiced yogurt, paired with the spicy aloodum (potato curry), was a delightful explosion of flavors. The balance of spices and textures made it an unforgettable start to my meal.

For the main course, I chose Pakhala Kansa, a traditional fermented rice dish served in kansa (bronze) utensils. The cool, refreshing pakhala, accompanied by an assortment of condiments and side dishes, was both soothing and satisfying. It was a perfect representation of Odia comfort food, especially on a hot day.

To finish off, I tried Arisa Pitha, a traditional sweet rice cake. The crispy exterior and the subtly sweet, chewy interior were simply delightful. It was the perfect way to end a wonderful meal, leaving a lasting impression of the rich culinary heritage of Odisha.

The service at Rasabali was outstanding, with the staff being friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. They provided excellent recommendations and ensured a pleasant dining experience.

Overall, Rasabali is a gem for anyone looking to experience authentic Odia cuisine. The flavors, presentation, and hospitality make it a must-visit destination for...
