I recently visited Sahyadri Thaat with my kids for a vegetarian meal, but the experience was highly disappointing and unsettling. To my shock, I found a small piece of bone in my supposedly vegetarian dish and even spotted mosquitoes in the bhakri (Indian bread). This is completely unacceptable, especially when dining with children, and raises serious concerns about hygiene and food preparation standards.
When I brought this issue to the owner, who was sitting at the counter, his response was even more disappointing. He did not handle the situation well and lacked the basic courtesy to apologize sincerely.
As a parent, I expect better hygiene and professionalism, especially when dining with kids. Such incidents are a major breach of trust, and I hope the management takes immediate steps to improve cleanliness, quality control, and customer service. For now, I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially to families or anyone who values hygiene and good service.
As someone who always supports Marathi businessmen and prefers to encourage local businesses, I feel particularly disheartened by this experience. I truly want to support them, but such repeated hygiene lapses and poor customer service make it difficult to continue doing so. I hope the management takes immediate steps to improve cleanliness, quality control, and customer service. For now, I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially to families or anyone who values hygiene and...
Read moreThis was my preferred place for enjoying Maharashtrian Non veg Thalis and been here 4 times before. Yesterday I chose to dine here as group of 9 family members and they left no stone unturned to disappoint each one of them, spoiling my birthday treat. Order taken and served after 40 mins for regular thalis. 3 thalis were forcefully served differently for their convenience. Chicken Fry Thali was forcefully replaced with Special Chicken Thali (Higher price charged), and same for 2 Mutton Fry Thalis. The quality of Mutton pieces was average, rassa was not hot enough, chicken kheema served in mutton thali and worst part, stale and rotten mandeli used for mandeli fry in surmai thali. Rassa served later too was not hot enough and some members had to wait for 10+ mins even for rassa and rice. There was acute shortage of manpower and no co-ordination between waiter and kitchen. Giving 2 stars just because tabda rassa and rice somehow made us have the dinner.
Service issues can still be overlooked, but giving stale and rotten fishes is just not done. Spoiling somebody's event is also unforgivable. Sorry Sahyadri Thaat, we are not coming there again and won't advice our friends and...
