Visited The Beer Garden at Seawoods Grand Central Mall, and while the ambiance was decent, the overall experience was disappointing due to pathetic service.
Pricing & Service Charge Issue The pricing is already on the higher side, which is understandable given the location and ambiance. For instance, a beer that costs ₹180 MRP is sold for ₹450+, which is fine as you’re paying for the experience. However, what’s completely unacceptable is their forced service charge.
The captain outrightly stated that the service charge is compulsory, which is against the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) guidelines issued by the Government of India. As per the law: ✔️ Service charge is voluntary, not mandatory ✔️ Customers have the right to refuse to pay it ✔️ Automatically adding it to the bill is an unfair trade practice
Staff Behavior – Unprofessional & Rude The staff's attitude was highly unprofessional. Instead of treating customers with respect, they were rude and dismissive. The way they communicate with guests is unacceptable, making the overall experience frustrating.
Final Verdict: Think Twice Before Visiting While the place and ambiance are fine, the service is terrible, and the forced service charge makes it even worse. If you're planning to visit, be prepared to deal with rude staff and unnecessary charges. Think twice before going here!
📢 Consumers, be aware! If any restaurant forces a service charge, you have the right to refuse to pay it as per government rules.
⭐ Rating: 1/5 (Only for ambiance, service is 0/5)

Read moreDear fellow citizens I'm a military Commander and I had the opportunity to visit beer garden with my wife and toddler.
The restaurant is a perfect example of how everything looks nice and shiny from outside but inside it's completely hollow.
The service is really really bad. Untrained and completely unprofessional staff.
Food is average at the best
Biggest con - they illegally try to charge you with service charges and they have even put a board stating servoce charge is mandatory.
As per law it is completely illegal and the hotel or restaurant can not force a customer to pay service charges, it is the wish of customer if they want to pay or not.
Many people are not aware of this fact and they being robbed of their hard earn money.
When I confronted them and asked them very nicely to remove service charges, they created a scene and embarrassed me in front of my family.
Just imagine I was on leave and went there to have a good time.. Even after paying unjustifiable inflated price for ultra pathetic food, this is the kind of treatment you get.
Im an avid traveller and have been to many restaurants but never saw such kind of hooligan behavior in such a fancy restaurant.
There is a basic decency and courtesy which was completely missing.
As a military officer and law abiding citizen I think its my responsibility to tell my fellow citizens about the facts and therefore I request all of who have read this.. Plz avoid at all cost.
In Mumbai there is no dearth of nice...
Read moreThe Beer Garden is an excellent spot for beer enthusiasts, offering a wide variety of quality brews that cater to diverse tastes. The service is efficient, and the friendly staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Adding to the vibrant ambiance is the live music, which creates a fun and relaxed atmosphere, making it a great place for an evening with friends or colleagues.
While the experience is enjoyable, there are a few drawbacks. The most noticeable issue is the lack of easily accessible toilets, which can be a major inconvenience, especially after having a few beers. For a place centered around drinks, this oversight feels significant and could impact the overall comfort of the visit. Additionally, the pricing is on the higher side, which may not appeal to those seeking a more budget-friendly outing. The early closing time is another downside, often cutting short an otherwise lively evening.
Despite these limitations, The Beer Garden is a good choice for those who prioritize quality beer, great service, and live music. With a few improvements, such as extended hours and better restroom facilities, it could elevate itself to being one of the best spots for beer lovers...
