Kathi's Original Kathi Kababa Roll — Restaurant in New Delhi

tl;won't read... Okay place to stop by and munch on a roll made with a soft wrap and decently flavoured fillings. But not a place to specially plan a visit for. Which is what we did and wasn't too delighted. The End.

Went with a relative who's been their fan since decades probably. He was back in town and wanted to revisit his old great memory of the "amazing rolls" he used to have here. But result? We three returned with a mixed experience at best. The first timers amongst us, (also excited to try this place being raved about by someone whom we highly look upto in terms of our gastronomical pursuits) didn't find it that worth of excitement. Yes, the rolls were made soft and spiced well. And I liked the double egg roll. But wouldn't make a trip especially for eating here. It is located right on the MG Road, so I might stop by twice or thrice in a year max. While the one who brought us here ordered a Chicken Tikka Rolls for both of them. He was very disappointed to put it straight. The tikka was spiced well on the outside but was dry and slightly overcooked.

Now, we'll be more sure about the place after a second visit. Which honestly wouldn't happen soon but on some unforeseen day in the future when I may have been incidentally travelling through that stretch.

Maybe we went on an ocassional bad taste day. Or, possibly the owner-staff has changed now so brand is the same old but taste isn't (anymore). We tried asking but the staff didn't really get...
