You can crack some amazing deals for lunch at this in-house Umrao restaurant. We got 1 + 1 and chose this place for group buffet lunch. 1. Ambience: The restaurant is not very spacious but decent. You get a view of pool and the outside area is pretty refreshing for taking a stroll after heavy lunch. 2. Food: - The veg starters served on table included paneer tikka, spring roll, and pizza. First two were tasty, you can skip pizza to keep your stomach empty for better stuff. - Non veg starters included fish fingers and malai chicken tikka. Both were awesome. - Chicken sweet corn soup was very tasty. Just the right amount of consistency. Tomato soup was good too. - I absolutely loved their golgappe stall. The golgappe were super crisp ( I prefer atta ones over sooji) and served with three varieties of meetha and teekha pani. Dahi bhalle were super soft and melted like anything - must try. Palak chaat was also tasty. - There was a live Mongolian counter for sauté veggies with special sauce. - Both veg biryani and non-veg biryani were served with Salan and you can readily have it. - Dal makhani was different here and tasty. Not very heavy not too watery. - Paneer dishes were good. Mushroom and baingan dishes - you can skip. - Breads were thin and crisp. - In the dessert section, you get vanilla and strawberry ice creams, brownie, Rabri, cheese cake, tarts, and passion fruit cake. YOU CANNOT MISS THEIR BROWNIE. One of the best I had with vanilla ice cream. All in all, this was a good experience. Staff is co-operative and courteous.

While staying in the hotel, had the chance to dine in Thyme. We had all the 3 means, lunch, dinner & buffet breakfast as this is the hotel's in-house restaurant. Though initially we were a bit skeptical as there was only an one page manu for lunch, only Indian cuisine nothing else to choose. Had a word with the rep. got to know, this is the fixed manu for week days and buffet available on Friday till Sunday. However after our word they agreed to sevre different in dinner. However, let me tell you once we got our food, we were the happiest lot, the food was delicious, all the items we ordered. In dinner we got our request granted. All in all 5 stars from my side, because of the food they served. The ambience is also to the point, plus the restaurant staffs are a happy lot and always there to serve you.

It was my second visit to this restaurant at Umrao, for a family dinner. Ambiance is beautifully done. We choose  à la carte & ordered - Dahi ke kabab - Makai ki sheek - fresh lime sodas - 3 variety of soups - Dal makhni - Dum aloo - Paneer butter masala - Hakka noodles - Spicy assorted Mangolian veg - Breads (laccha paratha, aloo paratha, tandoori roti) - Dessert (Gulabjamun, rasmalai, ice cream) Portion size of food was good. Taste wise food was good though soups tasted very average. Service staff was prompt & vigilant all through the evening. What they can work on:- we noticed that the Indian breads are priced really high as compared to most of the 5 star brands in NCR moreover they tasted pretty average!!

When I decided to go to Umrao for birthday dinner at Thyme, I had huge expectations like my guests as we were going to a four star property. But, the moment we entered Thyme, most things fell apart. Let me elaborate. To begin with, there was no one to greet us or show our table. When we called someone to our table and requested to dial the AC down, we were shown a different restaurant to sit which we agreed but when we shifted there, we found the managers of the two restaurant arguing over whether we should be seated there as we were interested in Al a carte not buffet. anyways after settling down after much discussion, we were shocked to find mosquitoes, yes actual mosquitoes inside the restaurant. Damn, never had that ever occurred to me before. On pointing the issue, the staff was quick to take action but com'on do you expect to find mosquitoes in such a restaurant. Now coming to food, the food was average, probably better than average but our experience there influences the...

I recently visited Thyme Restaurant -The Umrao, and I must say, it was an amazing experience. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with a warm welcome and personal attention from the staff.

The ambiance was delightful, with soft lighting and comfortable seating. It was a perfect place for a romantic dinner or a special occasion with friends and family.

The menu was extensive, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. We decided to try the signature dish, and it did not disappoint. The presentation was spectacular, and the flavors and textures were exceptional. We also enjoyed the wine pairing, which complemented the meal perfectly.

The service was attentive but not intrusive, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, it was an exceptional dining experience, and I highly recommend [restaurant name] for anyone looking for a...
