I recently had the pleasure of dining at Carobar in Indore, and I must say — it was one of the finest dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I stepped in, everything from the ambience to the service and the quality of food reflected a level of excellence that deserves recognition.
Ambience & Atmosphere
Carobar nails the balance between modern sophistication and comfort. The interior is thoughtfully designed with warm lighting, tasteful décor, and a layout that allows for both privacy and social interaction. Whether you're on a dinner date, catching up with friends, or having a business meal, the space feels inviting and upscale.
What sets it apart is how the atmosphere effortlessly transitions from a calm dining environment during the day to a more vibrant yet still elegant setting in the evening. The background music was perfectly tuned — present, but never overpowering — and helped enhance the mood rather than distract from it.
Food Quality & Taste
The food at Carobar is simply exceptional. The menu is diverse, offering everything from classic Indian dishes to global favorites, all curated with creativity and care. Every dish we ordered was presented beautifully and packed with flavor.
The Starters were the perfect way to begin — well-portioned and bursting with freshness.
The main courses (we tried both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes) were incredibly rich in taste, perfectly spiced, and served hot.
The mocktails and beverages were another highlight — refreshing, well-mixed, and just the right touch of flair.
A special mention must go to their desserts — beautifully plated, indulgent, yet balanced. Every bite reflected the thought and passion that went into crafting the menu.
Service & Hospitality
One of the key things that makes Carobar stand out is the impeccable service. The staff were not only professional and polite but also genuinely warm and attentive. They were well-informed about the menu and offered great recommendations.
Even on a busy evening, the service remained consistently prompt and courteous. It’s clear that the management has invested time in training their staff to ensure every guest feels valued and well-cared-for. Final Thoughts
Carobar, Indore is not just a restaurant — it's an experience. Whether you’re a foodie looking for exquisite flavors or someone who values ambience and hospitality, this place delivers on all fronts.
✔️ Amazing food ✔️ Elegant atmosphere ✔️ Outstanding service
It’s rare to find a place where everything — from your first step in, to your last bite — leaves a lasting impression, but Carobar achieves that effortlessly.
Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be...

Don't let the name of the place misguided you. It sounds more like a desi dhaba sort of a joint but its actually a nicely done restaurant with both outdoor & indoor seating area. While the place is tastefully done, serves reasonably good food, the owner (or the manager) hasn't exactly put much effort into recruiting good class of servers which was the biggest letdown for me.
I opted for their indoor dining area & we were greeted nicely by jyoti. She suggested us what to eat & even got me prawns (which wasn't on their menu) on request. Another gentleman (a young tall sardar ji ) came to us asking about how the experience was which felt nice. We had veg hot & sour soup (a bit too oily but taste was alright), tandoori prawns, dum aloo, butter chicken & the usual roti naan etc. The main course in particular was really nice & we enjoyed it. Their menu does sound like one straight out of a dhaba but that isnt anything bad. In fact, that is one part that does justice to the name of the place.
The other part which isn't exactly nice but does justice to the name of the place is their waiters (at least a couple of them who were around our table). The guy next to our table wasn't exactly attentive & most of the work was being done by jyoti who wasn't a waitress. While jyoti deserves credit for being attentive & responsible, a couple of waiters were one of the laziest & the least attentive kind I have come across. They weren't bothered that we didn't have water on the table or that our food wasn't being served. To top that when jyoti herself noticed & came to serve us herself, one of those guys still just stood there looking at us instead of taking the job into his own hands.
The place has a lot of potential & i think its doing quite well. May be a bit of effort towards training their waiters will make it more suited to be called a fine dine restaurant (indoor area in particular). Overall a place i might...

The ambiance is undoubtedly vibrant and beautiful, with options for indoor, outdoor, and terrace seating. During winters, they offer bonfire tables for an extra charge of 300 INR, which adds a cozy touch. The live music further elevated the vibe, making the evening enjoyable in parts.
However, the overall experience was let down by several factors. The service was okay, but the timing policies were poorly managed. Although the restaurant is open until 12 a.m., the last order is taken at 11:20 p.m., and the staff starts closing activities by 11:40 p.m. This leaves little time to enjoy your meal as the staff begins switching off lights and whistling for customers to leave. This rushed environment completely ruined our experience, forcing us to leave our food unfinished. At such a high-priced place, this approach is unacceptable. If they have a hard stop at 12 a.m., orders should not be taken beyond 11 p.m.
The food quality was mixed. While the veg starters we tried were good, the pasta was completely bland and disappointing. To make matters worse, many menu items, such as the veg platter and non-veg platter any few others, were unavailable. Additionally, a glass of hot water was priced surprisingly high, something most high-end restaurants provide as a courtesy.
Parking was another inconvenience. Despite the place not being fully occupied and several tables empty, the parking space for four-wheelers was very limited, forcing us to park on the roadside. There is no vallet parking. The security staff, though polite,...
