Gulfam Kashmiri Wazwan — Restaurant in Nizamuddin

Went there with lot of expectations. Since people wrote a lot about their authentic Kashmiri cuisine. However was a bit let down. They didn't have much varieties available, neither could the waiter explain much about any dish. Prices are increased than what we saw on the internet reviews. Restaurant is not well kept. It's small and dingy. However the food we ordered was tasty enough. We had Tandoori Roti with Rogan Josh and Rice. A half plate is enough for one person if you're a hogger. Else a half plate would suffice for two. They give 2 peices in a half plate curry. The curry tasted like a common mutton curry. No surprises there. Parking can be done for a two wheeler right opposite the restaurant. It's a very small lane, so cars beware....

Went for Wazwan to this place as star rating for the same was good. Had it been called a “Mughlai cuisine” place, I would have rated it higher, but they call themselves “authentic” Kashmiri wazwan place, which is quite deceiving. Those Kashmiri’s who have rated it 5 here should be sued for blasphemy against Kashmiri wazwan 😄 The rista that I ordered turned out to be whitish inside out, seems same is served as gushtaba as well 😄 The seekh kabab was served with a load of gravy (so not Kashmiri). Best kashmiri cuisine that I have had in delhi..rista was soft, juicy n fluffy. Tabak maaz was just yummy. Roghan josh could have been cooked a little better, otherwise nice taste. Even the chicken tikka was great too which was a surprise. All in all huge improvement than what I had here 3 years ago. Great going keep it up!
