It's been quite sometime that I had been to Koramangala for lunch. Whenever I'm in Koramangala I end up going to truffles as it's has been my favourite. There are a lot eateries in and around the JNC road. As I was and looking for something different, my eyes laid on this place called "Echoes". As I entered the place there were sign language put up on the wall and then looking at the things around I realised that the staff working here are differently abled.
As me and my friend entered, we were greeted with a smile and showed us the seating area. They give a pen and book through which we can order. And they also have a switch hanging on each table which will send the signal to the staff through light and they go to that particular table.
The feel of the place was amazing. I loved each and every bit of the place. The interior is so differently done. It catches your eye. It's a very cozy place.
They have variety of dishes. Since we were two of us, we ordered only 3 dishes.
The black forest shake: It was very tasty. The black forest cake is the essence of it.
The tandoori momos: They were lip smacking. It was accompanied by mint sauce. For sure the best tandoori momos I have had in Bangalore.
The veg dum biryani: It was yummy. The quantity is more than sufficient for 3 people. The raita was not up to mark.
Over all experience: Just the vibe of being in that place is amazing. And loved the concept of employing the differently abled. They are so very generous and always smiling. Loved the ambiance. The food is great and also doens't burn your pocket. This has become one of my favourite places. I'll definitely be visiting again.
Ambiance: 4.5/5 Staff: 4.5/5 Food:...
Read moreUnique reason why this cafe is different from other cafes is its Concept. Echoes has employed the staff who can't speak or listen. It will totally change your experience at this place. When you enter the cafe, wall on the right side is covered with sign language in the shape of keyboard. There is one inspiring line written inside the cafe: Listen to the ECHO inside you. Once you grab a table, there will be a button hung on every table. Press the button and the blinking light will let them know that you are calling them. On the table you will find a bunch of cards through which you can ask for things like Menu, glass, bill please etc. Lets come on order: You will be given menu with a slip. You have to choose the dishe you want to order and against every dish there will be a code written. You just have to write the code, quantity and any customization, if you want.
Order: Veg Tandoori Momo: Momos came in 2 variants with mint chutney and lemon Oreo Shake Snicker Shake: Both the shakes were pretty good Hakka Noodles( Best noodles after a long time) Paneer steak platter: Contains veggies, rice and paneer Waffles with condensed milk and nutella.
What i liked: Ambience, Concept, Hakka noodles
What i didnot like: ECHOES is known for its waffles but whatever we had was quite disappointing and it took too long to be served.

Read moreThis unique and beautiful cafe caught my attention while crossing it everyday while returnung from office. And I finally decided to visit it on a weekday evening. "Echoes", the meaning behind the name of the cafe becomes clear as soon as you enter inside. The concept behind the cafe is that they employ differently abled people and all the decor and arrangements are done keeping same in mind. You have sysmbols on the wall to understand their language and a bell to call someone on your table.
The menu took me back to my school classroom where I used a notebook to note down each title with an index. They have a huge spread of dishes and you are surely going to struggle deciding what to eat and what to regret on later for not trying. Black Current Mocktail and Jaljeera Kamaal would be my recommendation from beverages. Both are delicious and good to go with the meal.
The aroma of freshly baked nachos was great. Topped with chopped tomatoes and onions with cheese, it made an amazing appetizer. Tandoori momos were spicy and delicious. The sauce was somewhat different from the other places. The mexican delight pizza was crispy, thin and topped with all yummy veggies. You can't miss to try it.
I will describe the dessert I had here rather than name it. Gooey Chocolate Brownie with all time favourite vanilla ice cream and crisp choco bar. It takes you to heaven straight ( for the time it...
