Gitanjali, Otdc Konarak — Restaurant in Odisha

Well it's a restaurant as evident from the name. This restaurant comes under Orissa State Tourism Development Corporation. Once I walked in the restaurant it was covered with greenery. There was ample dining space. Although it is covered by roof, still I got the feel of open air dining probably due to it's architecture.

Now talking about the food, we ordered veg pakora,paneer pakora, tea and coffee. Believe me it was yummy. I really appreciate the taste and it was freshly made. This place is not crowded but they still have 15-20mins wait time. The restaurant is not expensive. The serving size is small as compared to the prices.

Due to time restraint we could not order ahead. But it was good...

While traveling in Odisha most of the time I prefer to take food at OTDC restaurants. As they are clean, hygienic and staffs are well behaved. And when it's about Gitanjali Restaurant, Konark the most prominent cause is it's location. This place is located right near the entry and exit point of the Sun Temple, Konark. They have a beautiful garden too.

Food Quality: Fresh and they prepare it on order only. So one need to wait for 20-30 minutes for the order to be served. Good in taste. Not much spicy🌶. But it was even more good in previous years.

Food Price:reasonable.

Atmosphere: Less crowded. Neat and Clean. Well maintained.

Refreshment/Washroom: paid service. Clean.

Only giving this a 4 star because of the ambience, available amenities and mostly for the surrounding beautiful gardens of this place (I love flowers and I can't help it!!)

But it fails as a restaurant in the matter of fooding. Late service, insufficient personnel, limited items on the menu (only veg/non-veg thali was available the last time I went there and the special dishes were outsourced from another restaurant nearby which would warrant a lengthy wait). I can not comment on the test because I was short on time and...
