HOTEL BARJORJIS BANJARA - Best Hotel in Balasore — Restaurant in Odisha

This was my second stay here in 6 months. Rooms are very average and nothing luxurious. However it has all basic amenities like Comfortable Bed, An ok type chair, LCD TV, Mini Bar, good munching snacks, and an old style wardrobe. ||||Bathroom quality is like our 1990s style old one, yet relatively clean and has english commode. ||||Complimentary breakfast is average with limited choice. But for the Tariff we pay, it's good.||||I had lunch one afternoon at their Bhojan Restaurant, indeed food was good. I ordered Paneer tikka masala and Naan. It was delicious. ||||A/C was a big problem, was going on and off. But may be load shedding problem there. Hope Hotel people is not doing it intentionally. Worst part, every time electricty comes back, you have to get up and switch on the stabilizer manually to switch on A/C .||The staff is very courteous and helpful. I loved their manners and discipline, which I feel was better than some five star hotels I have been to. ||||Anyways, this is an average experience, and I really say, it's good hotel to stay in Balasore compared to other...

Had stayed in the Hotel at Balasore on a recent official trip. 3 of us checked in at the same time. All 3 were lodged in the exact same class of room. However, I was charged the full amount where as the other 2 guests were charged a much lower amount (I have bills to prove this). The explanation offered was that the other 2 guests had opted for cheaper rooms and hence were "GIFTED" an upgrade at no extra cost - since I had not opted for a cheaper room, I had to pay the full price. When I offered to opt for a cheaper room and asked for an upgrade, this was refused. So basically, to summarize, all 3 checked in to the exact same class of rooms at the exact same time but I had to pay way more for the same. ||||Pro Tip: Opt for the cheapest room and then ask for an upgrade since most of the rooms are vacant anyways. ||||In addition, the towels were stained, the AC fitful, food quality was passable. Mask wearing by staff was minimal to absent. No clue about room sanitization...

Would highly recommend... Not just for the stay... But for the service and hospitality... And the food ofcourse...

Major renovation on-going... Am sure would be marvelous post that...

Location wise best... Ample parking space... Adjacent to petrol pump... Where even car wash is available...

Rooms are not top class... But nice and clean... Washroom also spacious (which matters a lot to me as I hate cramped ones)...

Service is top notch... Everyone eager to help you at all times...

Food quality was excellent... All dishes were thoroughly enjoyed by my family... And the wait-staff were extremely friendly and helpful...

Their GM... Mr. Swastik Banerjee... Deserves a special mention... For his friendly nature and eye for comfort of his guests... Thanks...
