Koraput Coffee, nestled in the scenic hills of Odisha's Koraput district, is a hidden gem for coffee lovers. The region, known for its rich tribal culture and lush landscapes, is now gaining recognition for its exceptional coffee. Grown in the high-altitude, mineral-rich soils of Koraput, this coffee is a delightful blend of earthy flavors and a hint of chocolatey sweetness, offering a unique taste profile that stands out in the Indian coffee market.
The brand has gained popularity for its commitment to quality and sustainability. The coffee is organically grown by local tribal farmers, who are supported by the Koraput Coffee initiative. This not only ensures that the coffee is free from harmful chemicals but also empowers the local community by providing them with a stable income and preserving traditional farming practices.
In terms of packaging and branding, Koraput Coffee is modern and appealing, reflecting the blend of tradition and contemporary tastes. The coffee itself is available in various forms, including whole beans and ground coffee, catering to different preferences. Whether enjoyed black or with milk, the smooth, well-rounded flavor of Koraput Coffee makes it a great choice for both casual drinkers and coffee connoisseurs.
Overall, Koraput Coffee is a must-try for anyone looking to explore a unique and high-quality coffee experience, while also supporting sustainable and community-driven agriculture. The blend of quality, taste, and ethical sourcing makes it stand out as one of India's finest emerging...
Read moreI learnt only recently that Coffee has always been grown in the Koraput district of Odisha. For some reason, however, it has always been a well kept secret. Well, no longer ever since a well meaning bureaucrat decided it was time for the flavorful coffee to make a name for itself. Thus was born "Koraput Coffee".
With minimal marketing, however, it remained elusive till some friends chanced upon it and (God bless them!) recommended it highly. It was love at first sip for me. Ever since then, my default recommendation for a get together in Bhubaneswar is Adisha, where Koraput Coffee has an outlet. (There are a couple more across Bhubaneswar, including one at Ekamra Kannan.)
The Koraput Coffee is extremely flavorful and beats any I have had in recent times. And when you know that every sip you take contributes to improving the livelihood of the tribal community in Koraput that grows, cures and packs the coffee, the coffee just doesn't taste better, it feels better as well.
