Food Review – Disappointing Experience at Live Counter – 5th September 2025

I visited Dough and cream (Paschim Vihar)on 5th September 2025, and while the ambiance and overall place looked good, my dining experience turned out to be extremely disappointing due to the behavior of the live counter staff.

I ordered vegetable spring rolls with noodles. While sitting in front of the live counter, I witnessed the chef smelling the food before serving it. Concerned, I approached the counter and directly asked him, “Are you smelling it? Is the food still good to consume?” The chef confidently replied, “Yes, it’s fine.”

However, when I took the first bite, it was immediately obvious that the food was stale and smelled terrible. The spring rolls and noodles both had a foul odor and tasted spoiled, making them completely unfit for consumption—a total waste of time and money.

What’s worse, there was no manager available to report this issue to, making the entire situation even more frustrating. It felt like the staff was deliberately cheating customers by serving substandard food, which is unacceptable for a place that otherwise seems nice.

Rating: 1/5 (Only for the ambiance; the food quality and service were shocking.)

Would not recommend until serious improvements are made in hygiene practices and staff...

Extremely disappointed with my experience at Dough and Cream, Paschim Vihar. I had gone with my daughter and ordered drinks and food for both of us. The drinks arrived after a long wait of over an hour, only for me to discover a dead bee floating in mine as soon as I took the first sip.

I immediately brought it to the staff's attention, but instead of showing concern or taking responsibility, the server smiled and denied seeing anything. When I asked for a clear plastic glass so I could show her, she refused to provide one, only for it to “magically” appear a few minutes later. Once I poured the drink into the clear glass, the dead bee was clearly visible. Only then did the staff finally start apologising. But where was the concern or accountability before that?

This kind of unprofessional behaviour and complete disregard for hygiene is absolutely unacceptable. We chose not to consume any food after that and didn’t even take it to go. Who knows what goes on in their kitchen if a dead bee in a drink is treated so casually? Would not recommend this place. Extremely poor hygiene, slow service, and shockingly unbothered staff. Dough and Cream has become my go-to spot for evening snacks with my kid, and it's clear why! The variety and quality of their offerings are simply outstanding.

We tried the Truffle Chocolate Pastry, and I must say, it was absolutely unforgettable. Rich, creamy, and full of flavor—definitely a must-try! The Rainbow Pastry, while visually appealing, was just average in taste.

Their Cold Coffee was a delightful surprise—perfectly refreshing and delicious. We also sampled their famous Chilli Paneer Patties, which were spicy and incredibly tasty. The Chocolate Eclair and Donuts were another highlight, both being mouthwateringly good.

The cafe itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a cozy atmosphere, making it perfect for family outings. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.

I highly recommend Dough and Cream for anyone looking to enjoy delicious snacks in a comfortable and hygienic environment. It's a fantastic place to create happy memories...
