Mahableshwar Berry Bash Garden is located on the Pashan Highway, near Pan Card Road. The first thought it evokes is of Mahableshwar's lush strawberries and the iconic fruit desserts one goes to this hill station for. So the play of name is quite a huge lure for all dessert lovers and one expects to enjoy awesome desserts here. The place is adroitly designed and beautifully done up. There is a distinct classy appeal and the interiors are alluring yet warm and comfortable. Just as one steps in, there is an interesting vibe created with a vibrant combination of long wooden tables with high stools, indoor plants, wall art and an eye catching parquet floor design. The outdoor seating is perfect for catching a wonderful view of the busy road. There are wooden benches with beautiful plants creatively arranged to enhance the space. Exquisite ornamental ferns are used to make a natural green boundary between the Berry Bash Garden and the adjoining shop. The Menu has a terrific line up of desserts, milkshakes, chillers, fresh fruit juices and beverages. The food menu comprises of breakfast dishes, pizzas, sandwiches and small bites too. We dropped in to specially indulge in their desserts, post dinner. Since strawberries were flourishing in all their glory and it was the fruit of the season, we ordered Strawberries & Cream and the portions were humongous. We also got a Chocolate & Cream to try out some variety. It was a sweet overload of chocolate and so delicious. A cup of coffee with mocha was warm and soothing. Service was extremely amiable, quick and prompt. All the staff were well-trained and welcoming, considering the late hour we barged in. They ensured that we got all that we wanted despite the fact that they were closing in a few minutes. We gorged on all our luscious desserts peacefully and really enjoyed our outing at Berry Bash Garden. They have a terrific green initiative where they gift their patrons with a pretty green plant where the bill is above Rs.500. Receiving a gift is always heartwarming and to get such a lovely, green surprise makes it special. We made a mental note to come back another day for breakfast and ofcourse, grab more of their desserts. Happy to be at Mahableshwar Berry Bash Garden. Great ambience, fantastic atmosphere and delightful menu. This place has...
Read morevery very average food.. this is my second experience which was really disappointing.. thats why i decided to write a review.. i ordered mushroom omlette when i visited for the first time.. believe me it was just simple omlettte with salt n pepper and 4-5 chunks of mushroom were spread on it.. no decoration, no veggies.. no side item.. nothing at all and it costed me 250 inr.. i wasted my money.. instead any layman can make it at hom if its just about these 4 ingredients.. secondly, i went again thinking they might have chnaged but things were worst.. v ordered honey chilli potato. and in the menu it was clearly written hand cut potatoes.. but they served French fries tossed in honey and chilli.. i asked them thrice that this is not what i was expecting as written in the description.. they ignored. finally the fourth time they apologized and told me they will not charge for it in the bill.. but while billing they told me i can only give you 10% discount.. wth its your fault why should i pay.. for that they said that they need to take approval from above which will take lot of time so i can only give you discount.. this is so insane... so unprofessional..they made me pay for what i didnt order.. very bad experience.. food wise and customer service wise.. only the ambience is good and the jamun cream was good.. rest pathetic.. i shal never ever visit.. and i would suggest you to save your...
Read moreRant about coffee !
So won't comment on the food though but coffee definitely require lot of work . We tried their Espresso and cappuccino.
Coming to espresso it was pretty hollow , ashy and tasteless . Usually we expect espresso to deliver us the strong bang of flavours but this one seemed pretty over extracted . Lacking flavours I guess had to do more with how the espresso was dialled rather than the beans in this particular situation .
Coming to cappuccino it was more of a latte . Froth texture if taken as a latte was amazing showing skills of barista . Again the extraction issues were dominant in the cappuccino also . One packet of sugar was required to balance of the beverage and make it palatable . More so one more thing to bring in attention was the cup / beverage temperature . The milk as per SCA beverage standards was way to hot and thus making it non palatable . A few degrees down would have done the magic .
Leaving apart the coffee the ambience was quite on point , outdoor seating makes a perfect place for coffee during rains . Quite a spacious cafe and clean too . Just some tweets in coffee and this one can be listed on one of the GOOD cafes in pune .
Until next...
