Mealawe - Homemade Food & More — Restaurant in Pune

I never received 90% orders as per their chart n today 6th Oct 2025, the order was not delivered but yet they marked it as delivered n I had to write this review finally. When I called them,Thomas picked the call n had been rude, unattentive when I complained about not receiving the meal) If you don't wish to keep getting irritated, disappointed n looted, do not at all place orders on Mealawe. Even after informing to leave the meal at the reception, they call you n u can be stuck in ur meetings. Seeing the good reviews I had taken 20 days standard meal plan and not a single day it had been a good experience. As of now, have got 9 meals, n trust me, whatever thet have mentioned about the menus on their chart was never followed, like not even once. Mostly they send aloo. Their team never picks the calls, never active on whatsapp, Vedang hardly replied on whatsapp n never picked the calls except for day 1. The amount of sabji is extremely less that it is just few teaspoons. Chapatis are either raw or burnt crazy. Usually chapatis are roasted with oil, phulkas are made without oil which they clearly forgot and have put the chapati option on their display but end up sending phulkas. So those who dislike phulkas n like chapatis or parathas really have to call them multiple times even though you informed them for it in the start and hardly it will be followed. I had complained about very small rotis n extremely less sabji being sent, roti issue someway was fixed but I ended up receiveing burnt & half cooked rotis. Sabji never had been good, even 1 year old child will eat more sabji than the quantity they offer. At times I received just gravy, or only 2 pieces of aloo, it looked like a leftover sabji. Sharing all the photos, unable to upload videos unfortunately as cannot see that opt, but definitely see the photos for better idea. When requested to cancel the subscription n return the noney, they never ever responded to it. My mistake was, trusting the +ve reviews on Google, I directly placed 20 meals order but after the bad exp I had gone through more reviews n got to know that even for 3 days trial meals people got the worst experience. Their team is lazy while talking you, they never are able to fix the issues. Save your money guys. I even told these people to keep the money n stop sending meals too as they never replied on refund questions. Nobody wants to eat only aloo or only paneer each time. The chart on their app is just fake. When I complained about extremely small rotis, their executive Kiran said to me that "you anyway have taken just a standard meal plan, it will be like this" Seriously? for 150 rupees for a standard meal, we definitely can expect decent portion of meal when only roti and sabji are included. In the similar amount we get plenty of food in the thali in Udupi. Also other meal providers do give more quantity of food in the same amount, even at times for lesser price like 110-120 including delivery charges. Kiran also said to share the images of roti on the same number I was calling her on whasapp n later when checked, the number was never on whatsapp n we can hardly reach out to their team on call. So Mealawe is clearly fooling the customers, and looting money I clearly felt. How can someone let the customers complaints go to void n let their name sink, God knows ! Anyway, not opting for mealawe again n told my friends the same, as it was me who told my friends to try mealawe as I had bought the meal plan too n seeing my everyday meals they laughed at me saying who gets this less food really? Also I finally stopped picking their calls as It had been really a frustrating experience. We are dependent on meals while working n away from home n when hungry these guys send poor food which really disturbs you totally n it feels annoyed. I had to place orders on zomato/swiggy as their small portiom meals weren't...

Very poor and unprofessional service. I signed up for their lunch service with a delivery slot between 12:30 and 1:30 PM for my office. Unfortunately, the meals are rarely delivered on time, which is very inconvenient during work hours.

There is no consistency in the delivery staff — a new person shows up almost every day, and sometimes even a porter is sent. Despite clearly informing the delivery people to leave the food in the basket placed on the ground floor, they don’t follow instructions. I get a call every time asking for the OTP, and I have to leave my work and go downstairs to collect the order.

On the first day itself, the food was delivered very late. When I raised a concern, I was told the meal would be complimentary — but I was still charged for it. That was disappointing.

Another major issue: I had requested less salt, but the food came completely without salt and even worse, I found a hair in the meal. It was not just tasteless — it was unhygienic. There seems to be no quality control or basic hygiene standards.

When I asked to cancel the service, they said the refund would be given as wallet cash in their app. But if I don’t plan to use their service again, what’s the point of wallet money?

This experience has been extremely frustrating. I will be raising this issue with FSSAI and the Consumer Forum. I expected better, but this has been a complete letdown. I do not recommend this...

Extremely Disappointed – False Promises & No Accountability!

I had high hopes when I subscribed to Mealawe, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite repeatedly requesting specific dietary preferences—less spicy, less salty, and less oily—absolutely nothing has changed for the past two weeks! I’ve been following up constantly, yet no one seems to care or take action.

Initially, after relentless follow-ups, I received decent food for the first month, which gave me hope. That’s why I renewed for a second month, expecting the same quality. Big mistake! The service completely deteriorated, and I started receiving terrible, inedible food.

The representatives are incredibly lazy and unresponsive—they make empty promises but never resolve anything. If you’re considering subscribing, don’t fall for their marketing gimmicks! Their claims are misleading, and once they have your money, they stop caring about customer satisfaction.
