I recently visited Fatcook's pure veg restaurant which is located on the Balewadi-Baner road Near era bakery. The entrance to the restaurant has lovely plants around it and they have one bullet outside the entrance. They have wonderful table layout and have decorated their property with decorative plants.
I have tried their Manchow soup - Experience a multitude of flavours and spicy elements with veg manchow soup, the iconic Indian Chinese stew. The hot and spicy flavour comes from the countless ingredients and vegetables that are used therein. This delicious soup is served on top of it with fried noodles that give a crunchy flavour to the dish. The veg manchow soup is then flavoured with soya sauce and vinegar, filled with nutritious veggies like cabbage, tomato and carrot.
2.2. Cream of Broccoli - A creamy and delicious cream of broccoli soup that can be enjoyed hot during winters.cream of Broccolli looks attractive because of its fresh green colour served it hot and garnish with cream .
33.Nachos with Baked Beans - baked beans and a creamy cheese sauce arranged atop nachos with salsa and baked beans temptingly trigger a burst of flavours and textures in your... Vegetarian Nachos are Mexican snacks or appetisers made with tortilla chips, beans, veggies and cheese that are basic and delicious. These are baked and best eaten with ssalsa on the side, hot and crispy. These are great for Cinco de Mayo or game day, or just for fun!
Schezwan chilly Paneer - this is another indo-twisting tounge - Chinese dish for all lovers of cottage cheese. This aromatic paneer dish provides a spicy blend of flavours and with flying colours, can become your most desired panner dish. The flavorful gravy is thick and spiced with soy sauce and Schezwan.
A very popular dish. 5.Veg Maratha Cutlets are rolled in spicy gravy or vade made from vegetables. With naan, paratha, roti or rice too, you can have this. This is a touch of a spice, and very tasty. Gravy was so flavorful, but I believe that cutlets should have the same flavour as gravy.
6.Kulcha onion /Naan/ Naan butter garlic—very soft and chewy, and so tasty. This flatbread, fluffy, pillowy, buttery, irresistible, has long been one of my favourites.
Fatcook special pasta - Try this white sauce pasta! It's a guaranteed way to delight your taste buds with its silky smooth and aromatic sauce made from butter, milk and all-purpose flour (maida).More garlic and Black pepper should've been infused in the dish for more flavour.
8.Classica Risotto -This creamy Risotto Vegetarian Tomato is infused wi th a tangy taste. I would like to say that it should be soupy with Risotto. Or maybe a better term is saucy.
Veg American chopsuey - Veg American Chopsuey is one of the most common Chinese fusion dishes made in India. This crispy, crunchy snack is popular with children as well as adults. Deep fried noodles eaten with vegetable gravy are delicious and crispy. The gravy has a sweet and sour flavour blend and has a clear resemblance to Chinese gravy.
10.Nothing like a fine aromatic biryani plate! With its wonderful aroma and exotic flavours, this Vegetable Biryani hits all the correct spots!
Filled with vegetables, crunchy cashews, warm spices such as saffron, cilantro and mint herbs, this biryani is a treat for every bite of the taste buds! It's super flavorful, filled with so many spices, and every bite will entice your taste buds! So if you love Briyani, try this one! I'd rate it 8/10

Read moreSometimes it’s more about the experience and less about the food. Well, this visit to Fatcook started exactly on a similar note. We were greeted by the co-owner of the place on our evening visit here. I had heard about Fatcook to be a veggie-friendly place and to possess really interesting vegetarian dishes. Finally, the curiosity brought me here last week. The name Fatcook comes from the head chef and co-owner of the restaurant. He is said to be a healthy individual with a love for cooking as well as eating food. Being an avid non-vegetarian I was excited to try the new vegetarian dishes Fatcook had to serve. Food- We started with two nice warm soups on a cool evening. Tom Kha Soup and Zuppa de Broccoli Thick coco nutty Tom Kha was perfect for the mood and to get the engine running. With the bits and pieces of veggies in between, it tasted superb. The Zuppa de Broccoli was little watery hence tasted less creamy. Since it’s a creamy soup I would prefer it with fewer chunks of veggies and more consistent. Moving on to the appetizers. Huh! Well, it was a day we missed those warm alcohol pegs. In came the Karari Bhendi and Baingan fry. The crispy bhindi tasted like namkeen and the baingan was delicious with the Rawa coating giving it the crunchiness. As I said, we missed a few drinks with those two. We also ordered Veg. Bullet. Appetizers prepared to look like a bullet lacked the sharp taste that was expected of it. The outer coating was too dry and the batter could have been moister inside. It was time to go all Italian. On came the Risotto Al Classica and Penne Al Funghi Pasta. The Risotto at first looked overcooked but the first bite was all about perfection. The rice had been cooked to perfection. The chalky flavour was retained and the seasoning was delicious. Same story with the pasta. The creamy sauce tasted really good. Our host/hotel owner suggested that Fatcook is popular for its Italian and Indian cuisine. Naturally, we had to try their Indian cuisines and we opted for the two recommended vegetables- Veg Patiala and Paneer do pyaaza. To accompany those we ordered Onion kulcha, crispy kulcha bread topped with sesame seeds and fried onions. Veg Patiala has a unique type of preparation method. The vegetable is wrapped up in papad dough and then fried. Later it’s cooked in a tomato puree gravy. A must-try for every veg foodie. Paneer do pyaaza was on a sweeter side but I genuinely loved the taste and simple minimalistic yet delicious execution. Two thumbs to the chef. Last but not least desserts. I was full after a heavy and scrumptious meal but when asked for a dessert couldn’t say no. As we had numbers we decided to go for 2 desserts. Tiramisu Mousse and Choco lava bomb. The mousse was light and delicate and with the chocolate flavour combined tasted delicious. Must try. The Choco lava bomb was freshly baked and one can see and feel the freshness by breaking open the tender cake. The chocolate oozed out of the cake like lava. Perfect! Served with a vanilla ice cream this dessert completed our food adventure for the evening. Ambience- The place is perfect for family lunch and dinner. Plus they have air-conditioned sitting inside where smaller groups or couples can be comfortably seated. They also have a terrace space available for small parties and functions of 40-50 people.
Overall- Visit for the new menu they are trying out, go there for their hospitality and definitely visit foe the tried and tested classic dishes. A complete...
Read moreRecently I visited this restaurant in Baner Fatcook It's a pure veg restaurant with amazing vibe.
I basically like any restaurant on basis of their ambience , food taste and most important is service. There are very few restaurants who offer full fledge Jain food options & this is one of them, trust me guys this restaurant has more than 70-80% items available in Jain. I was so amazed to see (J) next to almost most of the items in the menu.
As soon as you enter the restaurant you will see small plants nursery 🌱 in the open space. A clear & unobstructed space with carefully thought-out, soft lighting, not too spaced out tables.
Started my Lunch with -
1️⃣ Lemon Coriander Soup - Freshly chopped coriander with a tangy taste of lemon & dash of green chopped chilles was a perfect kick start for me.
2️⃣ Malai Paneer Tikka Starter - Soft Marinated paneer cubes and veggies, with a smoky flavour . It was mild and creamy in taste. Served with Cucumber salad.
3️⃣Italian Bruschetta Starter - Chopped exotic veggies baked & topped with cheese , this was amazing. By far the best bruschetta I had.
4️⃣Pasta Del Braone - Now this one is for sure chef specialty. Pink sauce pasta infused with melted mozzarella, parmesan & cheddar cheese . The reason I said chef & restaurant speciality because unlike other pink sause paste this is not made with artificial red & white sauce colour, infact this is made using natural sun dried tomatoes & chilly flakes which make this pasta 10/10
5️⃣ Veg Jalfrezi (main course) The quantity of the sabzi was more than sufficient for 3-4 people. Chopped veggies & Paneer topped with cream & we order kulcha, which were crispy & perfectly roasted. This was my sister's favourite, even after she was done she wanted to have more, as we say pet bhar gaya lekin mann nahi bhara.
6️⃣Hydrebadi Dum Biryani - The aroma was like OMG!! The quality of rice used was actually what liked the most, long & perfectly cooked. Spicy biryani (because I requested) served with chilled raita of cucumber & tomato. The taste was authentic.
7️⃣ Hot fudgy brownie with Vanilla Icecream- Heaven!!!!!! Mouthwatering, melted in mouth within few seconds, chunks of cashews & walnuts. I totally loved it.
PS: Everything I had was Pure JAIN
Lastly I would like to mention about the hospitality part - The Service The owner Mr. Abhimanyu himself greeted & welcomed us. Generous & down to earth person, he gave his personal recommendations on the items, gave us brief introduction about the restaurant. The staff was polite & working in this restaurant since it was started.
🔅 ✅ Hygiene maintained completely at the restaurant .
