I used to love this place for its fish preparations. The sitting although simple, was very nice. The food was great. I do not like the hot and spicy taste where every preparation tastes the same. They used to prepare good tastes. Also when we previously visited, the Thali used to have Rava fry fish. We never required to tell them. Now there was no Rava fry fish. The waiter gave reasons that it would become dry and so they do not make it anymore.
Quite weird!
Then I asked for Bombil fry, he said that since it is too costly, they do not keep it anymore!
And of course interior work going on, so the charm has gone.
All types of food we ordered was tasting the same. Hot, spicy and full of chillies. So I asked them to give me some cold drink. They said only 1 bottle of small Thums Up was left.
I feel, under the name of renovation, the charm of the place has been lost.
I loved coming here only because of its simplicity. But I feel they have lost it.
And I agree staff can change, but there was a lovely Bengali waiter. He was very nice to speak. He used to make all adjustments I would require for my taste. But he was not there. They said he is on leave. I hope he does come back.
The restaurant is no more as it used to be. The taste is similar to any roadside dhaba or like the Solapur style Raan chicken and Gavran Mutton dhaba along the highway. They are better as they mention the style of food to expect.
But I would not expect the same from this restaurant. I am disappointed from the food they served. I paid the bill and in my mind I made up that I...
Read moreI visited this restaurant yesterday and tried a mix of seafood starters and a hearty main course.
In the starters, the Surmai Tawa was the highlight—perfectly cooked with great flavors. The Pomfret Tawa was also good, though it didn’t match up to the Surmai. The Prawns Butter Garlic had a slightly different taste than expected but was flavorful as described.
For the main course, I ordered the Mutton Thali, Kaju Masala, and Chicken Angara. The Mutton Thali had good flavors, but the curry was too thin. The Kaju Masala was rich and tasty. The Chicken Angara, however, lacked the expected spice and oil layer, which are key to this dish.
One thing to note is that the indoor seating is under renovation, so only outdoor seating was available, and the options were limited.
Overall, the food was enjoyable, with some standout dishes, but a few improvements in consistency and ambiance would make the experience...
