This was my first time trying the famous katakirr misal and it was an incredible experience. Being a typical Punekar misal outlet there is quite an attitude in the staff members. They are not as friendly as you can find in any other misal outlets but ignoring that the place is quite nice. The place is spacious and comfortable but during rush hours you have to share your table. They have an interesting system for placing your order, there is a tablet where you have to enter your order and it will give you a receipt with your token number. This is to have coordination during crowd and to avoid any confusion in your order. Now the taste, The taste was incredible and a must for spicy food lovers. It wasn't too spicy to hurt your whole body for a day but enough for giving your body a small shock. Worst Misal Pav I've ever tasted. They offered Misal without Mataki. They used potato instead of Mataki to make taste worse. Sample was filled chilly powder to make it spicy bit not tasty. Farsan was also not tasty, it was regular farsan. They should give special misal farsan so they can atleast make taste better somehow. They use their name as a brand(?) for publicity but not thinking about how to make dish more authentic and tasty. They charged 100/- but that was wasted.They are not even deserve one star rating but giving them One star rating only because can't give less than that. If they think they offer best Misal Pav in Pune they have to read lowest reviews from customers and make changes for better taste and quality. I've tasted many Misal Pav in and around the city and they are much much better in taste in quality, even some small stalls have better quality Misal Pav than Katakirr.
