Malaka Spice is a delightful restaurant that specializes in Southeast Asian cuisine, primarily from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. I recently visited this unique restaurant & I have to say that my experience was exceptional. I tried there buffet on table #musttry
Cost- 699++ per person (Buffet on table)
What I ate-
Pumpkin chips: The pumpkin chips were a delightful and unique appetizer. The pumpkin had sweet taste which went very well with the spicy coating it had. #musttrydishes
Veg murtabak: The veg murtabak was a flavorful and satisfying dish.
Chicken murtabak: The chicken murtabak was equally delicious, with tender and well-seasoned chicken wrapped in a crispy pastry.
Top hats chicken: The top hats chicken was an interesting and tasty appetizer. It consisted of crispy pastry cups filled with a flavorful chicken filling. The combination of the crunchy outer layer and the juicy chicken inside was simply delightful.#foreverinthemenudish
Papaya salad: The papaya salad was refreshing and had a perfect balance of flavors. The shredded papaya was mixed with tangy lime juice, chili, and peanuts, creating a harmonious blend of sweet, sour, and spicy. #Alltimefav
Veg sambal crunchy: It was a flavorful vegetable dish with a spicy kick. Kinda stir fry.
Malay-style chicken: The dish was well-seasoned and had a depth of flavors that made it truly enjoyable.
Chicken green curry: The curry had a perfect balance of spices and coconut milk, creating a comforting and satisfying dish. The tender chicken and aromatic herbs added to the overall experience.
Honey noodle with ice cream: The crispy noodles were coated with a sweet and sticky honey sauce, and served with a scoop of creamy ice cream.
The food at Malaka Spice was exceptional across the board. Each dish displayed the authentic flavors and attention to detail that are characteristic of Southeast Asian cuisine.

Read moreA fine dine small road side joint which became so popular amongst everyone in this town has a new branch in Kharadi too now..😊
So, few weeks back, Malaka Spice had a competition on social media where followers need to guess the new upcoming restaurant area. I had a gut feeling of Kharadi so I had participated. And guess what, I WON and they invited me over to their new branch for dinner :) Thanks Malaka Spice. I am really overwhelmed by the beautiful gesture.
So, this new branch is small roof top place, with the same decor as Koregaon Park Branch - same warm lighting and the menu but, as of now, they don't serve alcohol.
We had a set menu which they had curated for us, and it was way too much in quantity but appetizing.
We were greeted by Mr. Ravindra who took care of us. He was very courteous with a smiling face, felt overwhelmed to get such a special service.
We started with Chicken Ramen soup which had broth, noodles, chicken, half boiled egg and veggies in it. Though, this soup in its own is a meal by itself. The soup was nice and tasty and very healthy.
Starters were served after this which had, Grilled Chicken Skewers and Veg Top hats (one of the most famous dish of Malaka Spice). The Tophats were appetizing, flavorful and hot and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Chicken Skewers were good too and went very well with the peanut sauce, sambal sauce which they had given as sides.
Main Course consisted of Chicken Nasi Goreng and Crunchy Veggies in Sambal sauce. 'Chicken Nasi Goreng' was delicious and not dry at all. It was flavoursome and palatable to Indian taste buds. On the other hand, the crunchy veggies had all the exotic veggies in it like Babycorn, Capsicum, Bell pepper, Water-chestnuts, it went very well with the overall sambal sauce. Though Nasi Goreng actually doesn't need any gravy.
Talking about the dessert - Chikoo walnut yogurt - this was chef's special. Honestly, this dish, I tried for the first time and it was very different in taste. Though, it was a bit dry, but I am not sure if it has to be that way.
A very special thanks to the Stewart who took care of us and Mr Ravindra.
Once again, thanks for inviting :) All...

Service Excellence: Staff are known to be attentive and friendly, ensuring a smooth dining experience.
Areas for Improvement: Pricey for Some: With an approximate ₹1k cost for two, it leans toward the higher side.
Flavour Complexity: A handful of dishes have unfamiliar flavour profiles, worth ordering thoughtfully or asking for recommendations.
Crowd Factor: It’s generally pleasant, but not bustling making it better suited to relaxed meals than high-energy gatherings.
Final Take: Malaka Spice Kharadi delivers on ambiance, diverse Southeast Asian flavors, and warm service. With its elegant indoor-outdoor setting and quality dishes, it’s a lovely pick for a refined meal. The price and occasional complexity in dish flavors keep it from perfection, but it’s still a standout 4‑star dining destination in the area.
