Stepping into the modernistic charm of Tian, the Oriental Kitchen, located on the bustling ground floor of Pradeep Chambers, off Law College Road, the dining experience promises not only a feast for the palate but a momentary journey into culinary excellence. Upon entry, the ambiance whispers of both contemporary chic and inviting warmth, setting the stage for a memorable meal.
The menu, a vibrant tapestry of flavors, speaks to the soul of modern Asian cuisine. Each dish is carefully curated to offer a unique twist on traditional favorites. The Chicken Clear Soup, served steaming hot, provides a soothing start with its crystal-clear broth and tender noodles, each spoonful a gentle nod to the meticulous preparation behind the scenes.
A standout, the Truffle Togarashi Black Rice Maki, is a culinary masterpiece. The earthy, rich aroma of truffle beautifully complements the spicy kick of togarashi, while the black rice introduces a delightful texture that surprises and satisfies in equal measure.
For those with a penchant for spice, the Szechuan Peppercorn Chicken is not merely a dish but an adventure. It’s a bold expression of flavors that dance fiercely and unabashedly on the tongue, tempered only by the occasional sip from a steaming Jasmine Tea Pot, which itself whispers of floral tranquility amidst the storm of spices.
Not to be overlooked, the Honey Chilli Crispy Lotus Root offers a crispy, sweet, and slightly spicy experience that perfectly balances the more robust flavors of the meal. It’s a dish that commands attention, asserting its place as more than just a side.
The culinary journey reaches a delightful peak with the Xiao Long Bao. These steamed buns, delicate and filled with a rich, savory broth, are a testament to the art of dim sum. Each bite is a burst of flavors that encapsulates the essence of expertly crafted Chinese cuisine.
Service throughout the evening is impeccable; attentive yet unobtrusive, enhancing the overall dining experience. Each course is presented with a grace that matches the elegant surroundings.
In sum, Tian, the Oriental Kitchen not only satisfies the appetite but elevates it, offering a dining experience that is both profoundly satisfying and delightfully inspiring. For those who seek not just a meal, but a memorable dining escapade, this establishment is a...

Look, I'll be honest life has been lifing lately and eating out has taken a backseat and so has my content sigh BUT to all the 823 of you (as of today) I assure you, I will be back, consistent and BETTER. Till then, here's a quick review 👀
Honestly, I have no expectations from an oriental restaurant in Pune, there are just too many quality and consistency issues but TIAN seems different, here's why 👇🏽
First of all, attention to detail. The decor says a lot about a place and it sets you into the mood for the food, this place sets you up perfectly. Secondly, the service, I don't know if "pristine" can be used as an adjective to describe a service but I'll go ahead with it anyway - very professional service; loved it!
Coming to the food, I absolutely loved everything I ordered. A bit of headsup for you guys, do your research and familiarise yourself with oriental terms and flavours. We don't want to be unaware; order something we aren't accustomed to; and end up blaming the place 👀 👅
The Volcano Prawn Tempura sushi was spot on, not that I am a sushi connoisseur but hey, I loved what I dunked into my mouth. We ordered the Prawns in Xo sauce and Fried rice for mains and boy was I impressed! The flavours were SPOT ON!

Read moreMum and I had to complete a chore at JM road. Once done with that, we headed to Tian - The Oriental Kitchen, at Law College Road - Pune, for lunch.
As it was our first time at Tian, we stuck to ordering our regular favourites.
Hot & Sour Seafood Soup.. T'was it piping hot, with a perfect balance of hot & sour, a generous amount of prawns & squid. Both, the prawns and squid, were cooked to perfect texture. They weren't rubbery. Loved the soup!!
Fried Corn Curd.. If i see this on the menu, i have to order it. They served this with a yum sweet-spicy coriander dipping sauce. Not much that can go wrong with this.
Prawn Tempura Sushi.. Beautifully done. I cannot handle the palate cleansing ginger 😨 hence avoided that, but the wasabi was "wow"!! Very nicely done!
Prawn Cigars.. Mums absolutely favourite. If it's on the menu, she's definitely ordering it.. and we did! It was served with a sweet chili sauce. I avoided the sweet chili sauce and opted for a combinatiom of chili bits sauce and schzewan sauce.
All four items were spot on. I cannot fault anything.. neither the food, nor the service. The servers were attentive and very polite.
Got a discount from Zomato. Inclusive 1 Coke Zero, 5% GST, 5% SC (well deserved, we added another 5%) we paid 2014.80.
Next time i have chores that side of town, im heading back to Tian to try more stuff...
