Ordered a home delivery on 15.01.22 evening at Pune Lulla Nagar outlet just based on the reviews I had read thought of trying a different Chinese restaurant. Ordered a Chicken burnt red chilli pepper, Veg Burmese Khao Suey with burnt garlic noodles Combo , & a chicken fried rice. The delivery was on time as scheduled, packaging looked quiet good, but unfortunately the taste dis not live up to the standatds of the packaging. The chicken burnt red chilli pepper was bland & insipid, chicken was tough, moving on to the veg khao suey combo, the gravy base was good, but the burnt garlic noodles were again bland & lifeless. Toppings of the khao suey were in a sealed plastic satchet & was tasting rancid. The peanuts had gone soggy & the fried onion was smelling of cheap oil. Coming to the fried rice. It was bone dry & lacked any flavour, chicken was just boiled & tossed over some rice. Sauces with traditional Chinese cuisine were missing & had a satchet of readymade chilli sauce. There was a garlic paste which was the other saving grace along with the khao suey gravy. Overall a very disappointing first experience. Will be very cautious the...
Read moreVisited Uncle’s Chinese after Easter Vigil mass for some dinner. The first thing that stands out is the ample parking space they have. Literally the entire lane is at your disposal.
The atmosphere is nice. Reasonably ventilated and spaciously comfortable. Most importantly, their washrooms are clean, neat and tidy. The staff are polite, friendly and welcoming. We were tired of the usual Chinese fare so they recommended Hakka Noodles with Chicken, Mushroom and Baby Corn. We also got Chicken Thukpa. Each dish was flavourful and well cooked. The portion size too was quite adequate and the staff helpful in making choices based on our preferences.
At the last minute, we decided to do take away since we were tired after church service. So all the food was to go. They packaged the food well and added some extra sauces too. Portions are fairly adequate and the food was enough for two average appetite persons.
All in all, a great place for Chinese Food. Can be a place for dinner with family and friends… Definitely will be visiting again and ordering in too. Plus they have great discounts throughout the week so be sure...
Read moreUncle Chinese in Lulla Nagar is a small but popular spot for casual Chinese food lovers. The place is known for its fast service, friendly staff, and affordable prices, making it a go-to for quick dinners or takeaways.
Food Quality The menu includes classic Indo-Chinese dishes like Hakka noodles, fried rice, chilly chicken, Manchurian, and momos. Flavors are typically bold, with generous use of sauces and spices to suit local tastes. Portion sizes are decent for the price, and most items have consistent taste.
Ambience The seating area is simple and functional, not meant for fine dining but comfortable enough for small groups. It can get crowded in the evenings, so takeaway is often a better option if you prefer quiet.
Pricing Very budget-friendly, with most dishes falling in the affordable range compared to other outlets in the area.
