Shahi Qila is an absolute gem near the Attari-Wagah Border. From the moment you step in, the ambiance gives off a traditional yet vibrant Punjabi vibe — think colorful decor, rustic charm, and a festive atmosphere. It's a great place to unwind after experiencing the energy of the border ceremony.

The food is the real highlight here. The menu is quite diverse — from rich and creamy North Indian curries to fast food options like pizzas, Chinese, and even desi snacks. The paneer butter masala was incredibly flavorful, and the naan was soft and fresh. Their biryani was aromatic and cooked perfectly. For those who prefer something lighter, they also offer some really good street food-style items.

Service was top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. They were quick with recommendations and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.

What makes this place extra special is its location. You're just a few minutes from the actual border, so it’s perfect for grabbing a meal either before or after the ceremony. They’ve even got a kids' play area and often host live music or folk performances, which adds to the experience.

Overall, it’s not just a restaurant — it’s part of the Wagah Border experience. Definitely recommend stopping here if you’re...

Hi All, Please do not buy anything from this place. I visited this place and I requested them to wash by 4 months baby bottle. They said they don't have any sink (hand basing) anything. Then I was just checking the place and find one sink don't know even that was there washing place . I have my water and my baby bottle which I want to wash. Women over there start fighting with me that you can't enter my kitchen. We called all this waiter to fight with me. There kichen was a very dirty place with insects and fungus. They were trying to hide this place from everyone These people ( all restaurants) make a cartel and start fighting with us. They said you should have wash your kid bottle in public toilet over here. Which parent will wash there kid bottle in toilet with so which in infection. All people in the restaurant supported me and left the restaurant. After that they were not finished they again started fighting with me after 30 min. Seeing all people support me are gone. I know there are not much restaurant inside wagha border. If you want to buy something please buy from outside shops All restaurants are owned by single person only in this shahi killa. PLEASE BOYCOTT...

While visiting Shahi Qila, we found that crowd levels varied significantly depending on the time of day, as most visitors come for the show scheduled between 4 PM and 5 PM. Our early arrival before 3 PM allowed us to explore the fort with minimal crowds. However, we then had to wait for approximately 90 minutes on the stairs for the gates to open for the show, a situation shared by many other attendees.

Person who have ordered food were allowed to sit inside.

Near the restaurant you will find so many small stalls selling the India’s flag 🇮🇳 along with caps , umbrellas, dupatta, etc… designed in Indian flag.

After waiting for 90 min. The gate (BAF-INDIA’S FIRST LINE OF DEFENCE) was open , followed by very strict checking [level of the airport] as some of the items were not allowed and can be seized by the officers and cannot be given back.

Just a small note , Upon arriving, visitors will often encounter individuals offering to paint the Indian flag on hands and faces. Be advised that these services are not free, and it is common to be charged an exorbitant amount, as I was when I paid ₹100 for a few...

We visited this place on 15th Aug 2022, and truth be told, this was one of the worst experience and food I have ever had in my life. We had Buffet for our group which was charged as freaking 362 rs per person. There was no proper system for the buffet and only 1 of the female staff was remembering the faces of people who have bought buffet. The buffet food was horrible tasting and not even 1 item tasted decent. They just had pasta, salad, dal makhani, shahi paneer, plain rice, matar mushroom, raita and manchurian. After getting the food in our plates, we had to wait 30 MINS for roti to be served to us. Until that time food had went cold. There was no sweet included as well. This so called buffet was overpriced, overhyped, and the service was pathetic. Trust me and fill your stomachs beforehand while going to Attari border instead of spending your hard earned money in this pathetic place. Even roadside dhaba who serve food in 50 rs are better than this.
