Chandan's AC Veg Restaurant — Restaurant in Puri

We visited this restaurant after watching a food vlog but ended up having a very disappointing experience. Although we reached at a reasonable dinner time (7:30 PM), the service was extremely poor. There was already a 30-minute waiting time mentioned on the menu, which we respected without following up.

However, even after 50 minutes, we received only the first serving, and that too with burnt and soggy roti.

We had initially ordered parathas and wanted to reorder, but the staff said it wouldn’t be possible. When we asked for chole bhature, aloo paratha, and veg biryani, they refused all of them—while strangely, the table next to us, who arrived later, was served chole bhature. This suggested that they either ran out of items quickly or purposely accept full orders at once to retain customers, and then later refuse additional requests by saying only plain roti is available.

The primary reason behind this poor experience seemed to be inadequate staffing. There were too few waiters and kitchen staff, which made it hard for them to manage the crowd. As a result, the service was extremely slow, and customers like us were left dissatisfied. Despite high expectations, the visit turned out to be frustrating and poorly managed.

A big no❌❌❌ Worst restaurant... Worst experience... The owner and the staff doesn't have any work ethics or manners to treat their customers... We were totally 20 PPL in which 3 were kids and 1 was elderly old dadi with us.. At 8.30pm we entered the Restaurant, and we were told that it will take 45min to deliver the order we said okay.. The waitor took our order... We asked for water 4times and he neglected.. After waiting for more than an hour when asked again the waitor mishaved saying "mera maatha garam hai tu chup chaap baith Jaa" .. later the owner asked the waitor not to serve us water later said us "pls you can leave" ... When asked how could u treat ur customer like this who waited for more than hour and asked only for water he mishaved, used abusive words.. snatched mobile from my sister .. used pen as weopon on us, pushed us.. we had to complain to police at last .. But yet the owner had no regret on his face.. Now I am writing some cons, because this place doesn't have any pros😂 It's located on 2nd floor, and it doesn't have a lift(we had our grandmother with us who has problem with walking) Service is pathetic. We waited for more than a hour and still didn't get water served. Arrogance and negligence of the staff, lack of hospitality. If you go to Puri and thinking of going into this restaurant, I would suggest u no ❌❌❌ Hope this review...

Totally pathetic place. I wish Google maps had zero star rating too so that I can give it to this horrible place. I am sharing this review because it's my personal experience . We had been to Puri for shri jaggannath darshan and konark. After returning from Konark at 8:50 PM , we went to this restaurant and ordered food within 10 minutes. Then, even after 45-50 minutes our food was not at all close to being prepared. The waiters were neglecting us when we were asking about food , we were even not served plates . On asking the incharge, firstly he said “humko bhi aapko baithane ka koi shauk nahi hai” and after waiting for another 10-15 minutes he simply said “aapko khana hai to khaao nahi to kahin aur dekh lo ” So our 1 hour was wasted there . We all were so tired, waited for food, but in return got arrogance and negligence.

Now I am writing some cons, because this place doesn't have any pros😂 It's located on 2nd floor, and it doesn't have a lift(I had my grandfather with me who has problem with walking) Service is pathetic. We waited for more than a hour and still didn't get the food served. Arrogance and negligence of the staff, lack of hospitality.

If you go to Puri and are thinking of going into this restaurant, I would suggest you to think twice . Hope this review...
