It started with disappointment and ended with a terrible experience. Being a Vegetarian group (6 people), BBQ Nation has been one of our favorite place to dine out. We have been to 5 different locations in different states and it was always good food, service and overall a very good experience. We were visiting udaipur and thought of having a good dinner at BBQ here But it was unlike other BBQ nation locations. The Grill placed on our table was cold and all the starters were not looking fresh and they were cold. The grill was changed 3 times, it wasn’t still hot enough. The taste was really bad especially the mushrooms and soya chaap. Soya chaap wasn’t even cooked properly. Those are the usual best starters for most vegetarians and both were cooked at its worst. We called the chef, he had nothing to say and wasn’t even acknowledging our disappointment at all. The customer service was also worst, we had to ask for everything few times before it would come to our table. One of the duty managers was rude. That spoiled our night even more and We all left without even trying main course and paid everything in full. Shortage of floor space made up by largeness of heart, this best sums up BBQ Nation Udaipur. Located on the 3rd floor of Celebration Mall it is one of the few branded outlets in Udaipur. It comes under the Budget category of BBQN so prices are lower but so are the choices when it comes to main course. Sweet dishes are not their strong area with Shahi tukda being the worst. Biryani too fails to impress with BBQ Jaipur bagging the honours when it comes to Biryani. However service is one of the best when it comes to BBQN. Managers are attentive and caring. We were even taken on a visit to the kitchen, every day one guest gets this opportunity. One regret we had initially was that though we went on two consecutive days back to back for dinner one day and lunch on the next, the menu was the same. However the team did some customization in the starters. If you are a first timer I would recommend you go for lunch as prices are lower and menu is the same. Moreover you get the drink for free.
