I stayed in and around Jodhpur for 5 days, and had my best meal, all things considered, at Khamma Ghani. Osian is a very important place to visit culturally and historically, but doesn't boast of many photogenic restaurants to eat in. Khamma Ghani, while no beauty to look at, has a clean and simple appearance which I liked very much. The staff member was super courteous - he first patiently listened to our requirements (one in our group had a slightly upset tummy, one - a five year old - doesn't handle spice very well, and as for me, I was ravenous) and then suggested some dishes we could order. We took his advice and didn't regret it at all. The khichdi was a cracker, the ker sangri was top notch, the gatte ki sabzi was a winner, and the crown went to a kind of a roti called 'Ramdev tukar', which the waiter informed us was made of a mixture of wheat and Bajra (if I remember correctly). I thought I ate quite a lot but somehow didn't feel super full or bloated. I think that's credit to the simple way the food was made.
If you're in Osian, don't miss Khamma Ghani...
