THE MERAKI CAFE & RESTRO — Restaurant in Rajasthan

Went there seeing such amazing Google reviews... Highly disappointing.. Probably coz we went there for breakfast and the vibe of the place seemed like a dinner place to sit n drink n enjoy. We were the only customers there. No lift, u need to climb 3 floors to reach rooftop. Tables were dirty. Sitting was cozy with nice view of the city and fort ( but again not meant for morning view, would be nice at night). Coming to taste of food, pancake was pathetic, thick blob with Nutella spread over it, no banana (although name was Nutella banana pancake).. Totally dry... Paneer parantha was oily and bland... Okayish at best... Fresh lime soda had neither salt nor lemon... Prices on higher side. We went out and had bhature from the opposite food street at dirt cheap price which were mindblowing... Don't visit for breakfast, maybe for dinner its nice (saying this only coz of such high google rating)....

I spent a couple of weeks in Jaisalmer, and being a foodie, was eager to explore new places every meal. Meraki, however, is one place I visited several times.

The food is fresh and as far as I can tell made from scratch. It means it’ll take longer for it to get prepared, but definitely worth the wait.

The staff are really friendly, and in a genuine way. I got to interact with them over several visits, and feel like made a very friendly connection with them. They were honest and quite helpful in making recommendation.

The space is pleasant and you get one of the best views of the fort (there is nothing blocking the view).

And, finally, having eaten at over a dozen establishments, I think the prices are very reasonable.

Located centrally within a few minutes walk of Jaisalmer Fort entrance. Food is very reasonably priced for the large portion sizes you get. All staff are very attentive and you have an excellent view of the fort and the wider Jaisalmer area and beyond. The hot coffee in particular was excellent. I ordered extra drink which took price to just over 200 but you could get a meal...
