Hangoutz - The Boutique Cafe (Pratapgarh) — Restaurant in Rajpur Sonarpur

Few days back visited a beautifully decorated cafe with music, boutique, a jewel haul store and a very good ambience. Found this gem near B.D. Memorial International School, in Pratapgarh, it's just a 2 minute walking from there. Or maybe if you are tired after shopping from Brand factory, this might come to your rescue! The cafe has 4 sections. One is near the entrance. The balcony seats, where there are small round tables for casual meets and tea gossips. After entering, there is a room where there is a showcast/ boutique where various handmade/ handloom/ aesthetic jewelleries, sarees, dairies, crockery,etc all are sold. They are priced accordingly and the collection is quite good. There are coffee mugs,. Diaries, notebooks, swords, glass pads, etc all are sold. The jewelleries are very fashionable and available in sets for various occasions. Next room is the main room where is a place for live music with guitars, drums, music box and great lightening. There are 10-12 seats here and the ambience is really too good. The next room is a cosy one where there are only sitting arrangement with Deam dark lights and sofa. Perfect place for all age groups. Good for family outings as well. Now coming to the food, as I went with my friends group, we ordered quite a lot of items and I got to taste :

1)Macho Mexican Tortilla Soup served with nachos- This is the first time I tried this item and I have mixed opinions on this. It tasted good but it's too heavy to have too much. It was non veg but it didn't feel to hsve chunks of Chicken but it tasted good with the nachos.

2)Chikni Chermoula Chicken - This was a really good item. Had tried this before too but this was different. The chunks of chicken was great and cooked well. The marinated chicken along with capsicum tasted great but quantity was little less.

3)Creamy Chicken Lasagne- Tasted fantabulous and this was one of my favourite items from the day. The pasta sheets were awesome and chickens were overloaded with sauces . Over the layer of cheese, chilli flakes and oregano were used.

4)Fish 'N' Chips - 3 pieces of fish coated with corn flakes and deep fried served with chips. Tasted good. Not very oily and fresh basa fillet used .

5)Creamy Cold Coffee - More than its flavour I loved the way it looked!! It had wafers, kitkat, chocolate chips, rainbow sprinkles and sugar hearts! It looked super cute and tasted great too. I loved it.

6)Grilled Fish Fantasi- This item was particularly worth mentioning bcz I m really impressed by their presentation. It had 2 grilled fishes in butter garlic sauce along with pepper butter sauteed veggies and jeera rice along with cherry tomato. It tasted amazing and it's really awesome.

7. Cheesecake - Tasted regular and the bottom layer was a bit too sweet.

8. Mixed Sauce Risotto Rice - It was really great and my friend loved it so I got only 2 spoons from it. It tasted kinda spicy and kind a sweet with perfect selection of sauces

We tried few more items too but I was full and couldn't try more but managed some snaps Overall a thumbs up from us to this nopnotch...

Hanoutz - The boutique cafe , your new destination where shopping and eating goes hand in hand

Talking about boutique cafes, hangoutz is the first name that comes to my mind simply because of the wide range of items that they sell along with some really good quality food that ranges across various cuisines.

With more eateries opening every now and then, it now depends on the new comer do something extra to earn its place in this vast, fast growing industry . This urge to establish their presence gave rise to this particular form of of cafe where you can shop and eat and named as boutique cafes. From dresses to jewellery, utensils to accessories you have a lot to shop from. You can customise your items which is the best part of boutique cafe.

Kolkata now has quite a few of these boutique cafes of which Hangoutz stands out. I visited their Garia outlet which is just beside the lane of BDM International school near Kamalgazi more. One auto will take you to this place from Kavi Nazrul metro station or you can come to Kamalgazi more in any bus of that route. Finding it won’t be difficult at all.

Coming to the food, the menu is quite elaborate, from quick bites to heavy meals the choice here is vast. What we were served -

Not being a fish lover skipped the fish preparations. From the starters chicken olovetti was a unique dish which i loved. These were boneless small sized chicken cutlets deep fried with an additional layer of crunch to make it crispier. The jalapeño cheese poppers were spherical cheese and jalapeño balls which was served with a spicy and tangy dip. Corn and cheese cigars were the next item that was again loved by all. Small cigar shaped corn and cheese fritters , tasted as good as it looked.

For the mains i sticked to Mexican rice with jacket potatoes. The potatoes were stuffed with corn and other veggies finished in a tomato based gravy, the rice being colourful and mildly spicy. Also tasted their mexican salad which was consisted of mostly cabbage, black olive and croutons.

Ended our meal on a sweet note with their hot sizzling brownie which was delicious.

Don’t forget to beat the heat with their coolers, mojitos and other soft drinks. They are very refreshing. Apart from that , you also get to read books , play the guitar, ukulele or the clapbox. Plenty of seating available completely air conditioned. So do drop in and enjoy the...

A few days ago visited this beautiful and aesthetic cafe in Pratapgarh. It's located near B.D.M.International school and serves some lip smacking food. This place is perfect for small hangout just like the name suggests!! It has 2 seating areas and a boutique with beautiful collection of sarees, kurti sets, jwellery, show pieces all under one roof. So you can enjoy good and shop trendy clothes and jewellery at the same time. The ambience is beautiful and worth taking some aesthetic clicks with songs playing all the time.

Now coming to the food we tried:-

🔸 Fish 'n' chips- A highly recommend dish from this place. Loved the soft and juicy texture of the fish fries. Perfectly crispy and crunchy from the outside. The dip tasted equally good.

🔸 Egg florentine pizza- The pizza tasted delicious with mild spicy taste. It was flavourful and the crust was soft. The egg in the middle of the pizza was so beautiful and tasted equally good.

🔸Mushroom Chicken Sizzler- The Veggies were perfectly cooked and the herb rice went really well with the mushroom and chicken gravy. It had a perfect smokey flavour to it.

🔸Grilled fish fantasy- One of the recommended dishes from my side. The fish was so soft, fresh and creamy.

🔸Jalapeno cheese poppers- Filled with the goodness of cheese inside the poppers were creamy from the inside and crispy from the outside. And it went really well with the dip served with it.

🔸Chikni Chermoula chicken- The garnishing of this dish was really beautiful. Loved the smokey flavour of the chicken pieces which were soft and tender. It was really flavourful and delicious.

🔸Baked cheese nachos- A perfect snack item to order. The dip was super cheesy and delicious.

🔸 Paan Surprise- A refreshing mocktail with perfectly blended paan flavour.

🔸Brownie with ice-cream- Nothing new to say about this excellent dessert. Soft, indulgent brownie with classic vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
