I am used to having food in my car, when visiting Rajinder ka dhabha, but on my last visit I was informed that they have a restaurant now in the basement, so we decided to check it out. It is very easy to locate Rajinder as almost half of the shops have been taken over by them in this small commercial complex called the Safderjung enclave market opposite the Safdarjung club on Chaudhary jhandu Singh marg. The restaurant is in the Basement just under Rajinder ka dhabha. The Interiors are decent and the seating is comfortable, the air conditioning warm excellent for a warm day. The place is perfect for families and has a seating for 70-80 people. The lighting was a little dim for my liking. Coming to the food we ordered more of appetisers along with coke and mock tails #Strawberry mojito was a strawberry syrup based mock tail made like a mojito. #Achari Chicken tikka were pick of the day, tried it for the first time and loved it. #Galouti kebabs is one dish, that I have always loved at Rajinder, but today it could be a bad day as it was raining. They were tender as usual but lacked the punch and were a disappointment. #Malai paneer tikka was another superb starter, it was huge cubes of cottage cheese which were very soft and yummy, With a creamy texture and subtle flavours. #Dahi ke kebabs were Golden fried(deep fried) kebabs made of hung curd and cheese, they were melt in the mouth #chicken seekh kebabs were kebabs made from minced chicken on a skewer, roasted in the Tandoor they were palatable. For our main course we ordered very basic fare of one chicken one mutton gravy along with dal makhani and Mutton Biryani. #Mutton Rogan Josh was delectable with juicy lamb meat cooked so well that the meat we easily coming off the bones. #Butter chicken was again disappointing, but then you can't expect any Tom. Dick Harry to serve a good Butter chicken. #Dal makhani was nice with lots of cream on top. #Mutton Biryani was very flavourful with an excellent aroma, served in earthenware this is definitely a must order. We ended our meal with steaming hot Gulab jamun, which were Decent. Overall we had a pleasant experience, can say for sure they have something for everyone and would love to dine in again at this outlet.

I had a 4/5 stars experience at Rajinder Da Dhaba. Here are the reviews for different aspects: Location: Opposite Safdarjung Enclave. It’s quite conspicuous, you cannot miss it. There are 6 different counters serving food, and there’s a restaurant upstairs for dining in as well. There are tables outside counter 6 if you want to dine in without going to the restaurant, although there are no chairs. We saw people sitting in front of the counters and eating. We opted for the restaurant and got good seats upstairs. The service was prompt and polite. The restrooms were okay, they could use some cleaning, thanks to people’s lack of basic hygiene. Overall, the restaurant was decent and wasn’t busy on New Years Eve when we went. Food: We ordered Murg Seekh Nawabi—basically Chicken Kebabs, and Kadhai Chicken along with roomali roti and butter naan. The chicken in Murg Seekh Nawabi was tender and tasted delicious. Kadhai Chicken could use a little more spice. Rotis and Naan were good. They also serve complimentary onions and green chutney, which was nice. We also got the lime soda, which was your usual lime soda. Price: For 1 Murg Seekh Nawabi, 1 Kadhai Chicken, 2 Roomali Rotis, 3 Butter Naan and 2 lime soda, we ended up paying 1760 rupees. They add quite a bit of extra charges, something to keep in mind. Considering the food quality, the prices were fair. Ambience in the restaurant: The ambience was nice, the seating area is decently big, and there were Bollywood music tunes playing inside. Overall, it was pretty good. I’ll visit again to taste their other dishes, especially the starters. I won’t say this is a must try place, but if you’re in the area and looking for a better than average place to grab some chicken, and other dishes, then you can visit. The nearest metro station is AIIMS. An auto ride from AIIMS to Rajinder da Dhaba can cost 40-50 rupees.

Rajinder da Dhaba is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to enjoy a hearty and authentic North Indian meal. This restaurant, located in Safdarjung Enclave, has been serving delicious food since 19681. The atmosphere is casual and lively, with a dhaba-style seating area and a bar. The restaurant is usually crowded, especially on weekends, but the service is fast and efficient. A variety of dishes, such as North Indian, Chinese and Mughlai cuisine, can be ordered, but the tandoori items are the highlight of the menu. On the occasion of this visit, gaulauti kebab, veg malai tikka, chicken curry achari chicken, dal makhani, naan and biryani were ordered. The food was delivered promptly, and the taste and quality were impressive. The gaulauti kebab was smooth and tender, the veg malai tikka was creamy and flavorful, the chicken curry was amazingly heaven, the achari chicken was aromatic and tender, the dal makhani was rich and buttery, the naan was fluffy and hot, and the biryani was fragrant and satisfying. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The staff was courteous and attentive. The meal was enjoyable and satisfying. This place is highly recommended for anyone looking for a satisfying and authentic North Indian meal. Rajinder da Dhaba is a legendary place that lives up to its reputation

Over hyped….. After seeing soo much reviews and heard lots of thing from social media I went to this place with lots of expectations. - The taste of all Four famous foods (promoted foods) was totally disappointing and I highly doubted about the hygiene and material they used. - Overpriced: They charged their food dishes like a five star restaurant plus adding high amount of service and gst taxes even after you seat on a footpath like a beggar. Owner you guys are real? - Chiken curry: This Dhaba is full of scam and cheating. They will charge 322/- rs for Tasteless watery Chiken curry with two Butter roti. - Chiken satay was the most disgusting dish, pathetic and smelling like they mixed alcohol inside it. I literally throw the half of the dish in dustbin. We were two peoples and bill was 1150/- rs. It’s costliest road side dhaba where customers seated on the footpath and eating tasteless dishes. The reason behind it’s popularity is only paid promotion and social media influencers. I am the victim of that trap only. Cherry on cake: 5-6 liquor shops all around in same premises. So not a safe place to visit with families. Quality of Rajinder Dhaba: - Tasteless - Roadside dhaba with Five star rates - Cheap quality products - Over hyped - Overpriced - Under cooked - No privacy - No safety - Liquor shop all around
