Had the worst experience at Beijing Bites Siliguri the last time I went there with my family. We had ordered two items - Chicken momo and Veg Sizzler. The momo arrived shortly and Lord knows how many days old stale it was as it had clearly been re-heated and served to us. It was lukewarm on the outside and its filling was all clumped and cold on the inside. We asked them to at least heat it properly and serve it again.
Then, sometime later the sizzler arrived and turns out they had prepared chicken sizzler as they had noted down the order incorrectly while we had clearly ordered the veg one. They continued to refute that this is what we had ordered and refused to accept their mistake. However, we sternly refused to accept the order so, finally they agreed to serve the correct one and took it back. Few min later, they came back with the sizzler with veg manchurian and same chicken noodles as earlier just half in quantity since its non-veg pieces had been picked out. We could tell since it was cold and they has still left a few bits of non-veg in there.
Needless to say, this was a very unpleasant experience. Their dine-in quality and experience has dropped so much gradually and all they care about it their online customers to the point that any customers visiting the restaurant seems like an inconvenience to them. At least, that's what the staff over there will...
Read moreFood was excellent and service was fast. Even though the day we went unfortunately was having a powercut in the whole areaz but the food was more than enough to make up for it and the service also was great. (And fast) We started off with a butter garlic chilly prawn, crunchy and squishy, juicy prawns in a just right sauce of chilly as well as butter, it was just perfect, the capsicum in it were also crunchy and fresh, something I can say for all the vegetables added to other dishes as well. Then we had kung pao fish (succulent and juicy fish, tangy-spicy and strong sauce) and fish in black bean sauce (served very hot, be careful else you will burn your tongue), was as delectable with a sauce having a more subtle note. The flavors were more like sitting beside a fireplace in a winter cottage than the bold flavors of kung pao fish. The chicken phad ki mao was the best noodle I had so far. (Or maybe my memory of gangtok and nepal travels have been a while), but the noodles was a must try. Crab lollypops in the other hand was a bit lacking in the flavor as everything was dense together into the ball. Crispy Peking Mutton was also great, though we could use a bit more sauce to it I guess. Still would recommend this to anyone looking for a new flavor. Watermelon ice tea was underwhelming, while peach and passionfruit was much better. Highly...
Read moreVery tasty food, in fact one of the best in siliguri. Excellent taste, salt was perfect to taste usually chefs put less salt for fear of putting excess, and end up serving food with less salt. But over here one can see that the chef tastes the food before serving so every dish comes out perfect. Very happy and satisfied with the taste. Roasted chicken with vegetables was especially yummy. Restaurant is also the first in Siliguri to start live dining. You get raw ingredients and have to cook the food according to your taste, have yet to experience that.
Highly recommend, five stars to the chef and friendly staff.
Edit: visit for live hot pot with chicken:
It was awesome, only restaurant in Siliguri serving live hot pots. Choose your sauce to dip your ingredients. Dip, chicken, vegetables, sea food all raw in the live boiling sauce of your choice. Flavour the boiling sauces according to your taste. Cook till your desired level is achieved. Enjoy hot flavour full meal direct from the boiling pot. Staff helped very much to prepare and serve the dishes. Humbled with such great hospitality. Thank you to the owner and chef for bringing such great food to Siliguri. Looking forward towards more awesome meals...
