Been there for lunch yesterday with a friend of mine. A2B franchise is pretty popular in Chennai and we decided to give it a try. They have a humble sweet shop at the ground floor and vegetarian restaurant at the first floor. It has a decent ambience. My friend ordered Spl South Indian Thali while I ordered Veg Dum Biryani. As soon as the waiter took the order and started leaving, I turned back and called him to edit the order. He said that the order can't be edited once placed.
Hailing from Hyderabad, my definition of Biryani is totally different. Whenever I order Biryani, I expect Hyderabadi Biryani somehow but I was surprised. The Chennai style Biryani looked totally different and tasted different as well. It was a kind of new experience. The dish tasted good but didn't give me the warmth that you usually get when you eat Biryani.
Ordered Rasmalai for dessert, it was good except that it tasted too sweet. Also, the waiter initially mentioned that everything on the Spl Thali was unlimited but most of the dishes in the Thali were limited which should've been told beforehand.
I spent around 180 rupees for the meal I had which I think is okay.

We arrived at the hotel around 9:45 PM, but no one attended to our table or gave us a menu until 10:15 PM. What made it more frustrating was that there were many empty tables, and the servers were simply standing around without attending to customers like us. If the hotel was not willing to serve at that time, it would have been more respectful to inform us rather than keep us waiting unnecessarily. This is by far the worst service experience I’ve had, especially when all we were asking for was just a dosas. There are plenty of hotels in and around Purasawalkam, and we certainly won’t be returning here unless improvements are made to customer service. Also due to unprofessional behavior from the staff we were made to wait while other customers who arrived later were attended to first. One server asked us to sit in one place, then another came and told us to move to a different table—apparently to accommodate another group of five people.
When we changed our table as requested, we were still not given proper attention, while the other group received prompt service. This inconsistency and lack of coordination between staff members made us feel unwelcome.

I ordered chapathi which came after 25 mins. I don’t know why it’s taking so long for that to cook. I don’t know whether they ran out of gas or chef went on leave or so.
