This was our second visit, and just like the first time, we were pleasantly surprised by the experience. As the name A2B (Adyar Ananda Bhavan) suggests, it’s a perfect restaurant for vegetarian food lovers. Upon entering, you are welcomed with a display of their sweets and souvenirs before proceeding to the dining area.
The restaurant operates entirely on the ground floor, with a dedicated section for snacks, sweets, and souvenirs, alongside a spacious dining hall. However, due to its popularity, getting a seat during peak hours—especially at night—can be quite challenging. The wait time can range from 30 minutes or more, depending on the crowd. During our second visit, we had to wait for approximately 25-35 minutes before getting a table.
The service was excellent—the staff was polite, attentive, and even helped us choose dishes based on our group, considering kids and senior members. Some dishes take longer to prepare, so it’s a good idea to check the estimated wait time before ordering. I’d recommend ordering a quick-serve dish along with your main selection to keep yourself occupied while waiting for your favorite dish to arrive.
Regarding parking, they have a large space for both cars and bikes, which is a big plus. However, the restaurant is located at a congested turn on a busy road, making it slightly difficult to exit, especially during peak hours.
Overall, A2B is a great spot for vegetarian cuisine with delicious food, good service, and a lively atmosphere. Just be prepared for some waiting time...
Read moreThe service given by Ms. R. Anushya is excellent. Very polite, prompt and fast. The quality of the food is also awesome.Worth visiting with family. The said review given by me is 6 Months back. But.. Yesterday when we visited with family..we were shocked to know the service has become very very poor. There were insufficient resources to serve at table. Nobody was there to take orders. Even if they take order, taking more time to deliver ...by the time hands will get drained. I could able to see all the tables are filled whereas enough resource were not there. If you try to run the show with the same capacity of resource, Iam sorry...U need to shutdown very soon. Because, it is in prominent place where many educated people will come to have good food during evening hours especially week ends. Moreover, the servers looks not hygiene. Guy whonis cleaning table is serving..which is causing concern. Need Hotel Management to recruit more resources immediately to stick on to the business. Otherwise people will move to Krishna Do osa Kadai where Excellent speedy service will be there from the day one.U can even visit Krishna Dosa Kadai and understand their...
Read moreWe thought of giving a grace period to a newly opened branch with inexperienced staff. One learns from the experience but this branch has gone to another level of intolerable behaviour that I wish another brand takes over this place. Such a beautiful place with ample parking space but simply wasted because of extremely inefficient service. All they do is play a blame game and every single day since their opening, I see this happening. I am sure in no time this place will be shut down. I don't know who the manager is but an incapable one. The staff here is as slow as snails. Food won't be available most of the time. If available, will taste bland. Daily a drama with poor customer service. We went around 9.30 on a Saturday morning and there was no vada. All they had were dosa idli pongal poori and khichdi.. Well, why should I come to you if I can get this from another hotel for a much lower price? I wish this place is shut down in no time and a new brand...
