The Madras Diner Multi-cuisine Restaurant & Cafe — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

The Madras Diner, Being located far from the main hub of the city, I was surprised to notice the crowd being attracted to this place.This lead my expectations and excitement up!

Firstly, They are a Trio, Ground floor taking care of the Restaurant and a Bakery, First-floor taking care of Cafe.

The first floor is more of a fam-dine in where as the Cafe looked pretty exciting with beautiful decors, Selfie Booth, And hey! They have a beautifully set up balcony seating.

We opted to dine in their ground floor which is meant for the Restaurant part But they do serve the Cafe food too. Serves helpful for a mixed taste-buds gang.

We started with a line up of mocktails,

Sangria | Coconut Punch | Saffron Melody | Apple Hot-Tail | Green Apple Sunshine | Mash melon Delight

Coconut Punch! Wow. What a wonder it was to my taste buds.It tasted more like a coconut based Lassi.Pure Bliss.This Drink does deserve a ShoutOut. I have been a fan of Cranberry Based drinks and hence Loved their Sangria which was more of Cranberry and other juices topped with pieces of Apple.

To the exotic lover, Try their Hot Tail. An apple based hot fizz drink with some hint of Orange tinge.

Mash Melon Delight was good but too much of melon pulp.

Green Apple based drink didn't look much like green apple but goes with the latter part of its name, The Sunshine.Second favourable drink after coconut punch.

After a good refreshment, Started with their starters.

Tried their dishes from both their Restaurant menu and their Cafe menu. ( Reviewing the dishes from Restaurant menu alone )

Saffron Malai Tikka | Tawa Sizzled Prawns | Nethli Rava Fry | Kanava Varuthathu | Yerra Eraichi | Karuvapulla Gobi

Started with their veg dish, Gobi Karuvapula, By the name, It had good flavors of North and South. Ok tired of Veg dish. :P Skipping to the good part. Saffron Malai Tikka, The best I've had yet. I am not a fan of Malai chicken which is overpowered with saffron but this particular dish was too good and flavors balanced equally suiting my taste buds. Hats off to this, Chef. :) Tawa Sizzled Prawns looked so satisfying. Jumbo prawns well marinated with spices. Couldn't Get my eyes off until I had my first bite of it. Umm. Not as good as it looks.Still Good.

Usually, nethili fry that I've had in other places were deep fried with some brushed spices but here It was Unique.Nethilis bigger than the usual were marinated and coated with Rava. Loved it.

Kanava(Calamari) Varuthathu and Yerra Eraichi tasted similar with a peppery taste. Was lil bland to my taste buds.

For the mains,

Since we were almost full with the starters, Just went with their Mutton Biriyani.

Biriyani.. or Bae..riyani as what I prefer calling, was too good. There is no non-satisfying biriyani unless its Veg. Haha.

Moving on to the Desserts,

Opera | Chocolate Mousse | Tiramisu | Apple Pie |  Lemon Cheesecake

This was my first Hands on Opera, Instant favorite! Coffee based sponge cake well layered with some craving Essence. :D

The chocolate mousse was good too. Tiramisu was not up to the mark. There was something missing that could have made it perfect.

Lemon cheesecake? I'm not sure if it was Lemon based but there was a slight hint of citric in it.Could have been better. Apple pie was good enough.

Overall, I loved their food and the place in a nut shell. Though this place is far from my locality, I will make sure I will visit this place whenever I'm Somewhere near. To others who live close by or people who love to experiment with good food, This place is a must try.

Also, try their menu from Cafe. They have something that could surprise you.

We ordered the Tandoori spiced chicken dimsum,Chicken Parmigiana,Chocolate Truffle cake,Sizzling brownie, coconut punch,mash mellow delight,White chocolate with mango mousse, strawberry Margarita.

Tandoori spiced chicken dimsum It was so hot and Yummmyyyy. The chicken was perfectly cooked with minimal flavour n spice.

Chicken parmigiana Wooowww😍😍 i jUST loved it.Its a simple dish with Spicyy pasta topped with grilled chicken and cheese😍😍.But the combo jus lifted up my senses🙈❤

Chocolate truffle cake Presented richly By the look of it i had very high expectations but it was normal.I felt less it to be creamy.

White chocolate n mango mousse (That was the name mentioned by the waiter,i dint find it on the menu) Well it turned out to be another Wow factor.❤We literally fought for that😂😂it almost looked like a tart.It had a white chocolate filling and over that the flavour of mango.yummmm😘😘

Coconut punch It was an interesting drink out of the list.A combination of coconut syrup,pineapple juice,vanilla icecream etc.It was quite good but dint give that satisfaction till the last sip.Only one of the flavors was dominating.

Mash mellow delight It was a mixture of melons,blueberry crush and icecream.It tasted more or less like a normal watermelon juice which i felt isn't worth it.

Sizzling brownie Who doesn't love the brownie with icecream😋😋Of course it was Yummmyyyy❤The best part is They had too many nuts in it😍😍

Strawberry Margarita Aaaaahh❤😍Most favorite of all😘It pleases me by jus its name🙈❤Every sip of it was jus so heavenly👼Such a refreshing drink😇it was like the gola on streets that we crave for🙈❤i feel bad that i couldn't finish it,as we were already full.😭

26th Nov '22 Good service by staff. Syuffed mushroom, Paneer kebab, pulav, mushroom-paneer curry & biryani was good. I would not recommend the Mutton biryani. The main restaurant was closed when we dined on Saturday for lunch. The cafe was alloted which was too small for a family dining-in. Good initiative of eco-friendly cutlery and plates. But for all the restaurant using the same would suggest increasing the depth and size of spoon-fork as available in steel as it is not very comfortable.

Wanted to dine here from the time it started, around Jun 2016. This is an awesome place. Ground floor is the bake shop at entrance, then the casual dining restaurant with complete service. Best part i love is the cafe lounge with selfie zone, billiards or snooker table, the high bar chair, colorful wall art, glasses on one side. The feel is so good. The bakery at the entrance with the street light pole looks very nice to see from the street. The whole place is so artistically done. The website look and feel is also very good. Completely optimized with ordering and social media links. There is a nice open view seating which i will try. The menu and pricing is good. It was not a leisure dine in this time.
